Welcome to the IHoP
When I used to deadlift, I would do it every week. I never went for weight more than I could do 5 times in a row though. Some people will tell you once a month, but I know Olympic guys who would do a huge heavy 1RM and then do light deads another day. Hell they did powe cleans too and that is just a dead lift + extra shiznit. I would only NOT do an exercise if it caused me pain. Not soreness, but pain. Hooray deadlifts I was reading some lower back safety article and got the same advice, 5 reps, maximum weight. Thanks to the mix-up at work with the gym passes I missed 3 deadlift days and had to drop down the weight a little but I'm back to 1x a week. Funny thing is not many people where I go to the gym do dealifts. They are all huge from the waist up. Not many people do dead lifts in comparison to everything else a gym has to offer, for what ever reason. I've been doing a 5x5 program suggested from Starting Strength by Rippetoe, but I'm only doing 145lbs. Dead lifts are one of the more complete singular exercises, but form is paramount.

Is that when you put a bunch of stickers on an old Datsun and slide around a track while trying to call it a sport?

2) 12" GCONS @ 600W RMS Sealed
We have the enclosure suggestions up, just don't have the Free 3D Sketch Up enclosure cut-sheet downloads up yet. The Gcon seemed to be happy in enclosures similar to the Xcon sealed and fairly similar to the Icon ported. The Gcon is a higher then our average, in regards to Qts. So it has turned out to be a great option as the Dcon thrives ported, but some people wanted to save space and the Gcon sealed has been an excellent option.

- Diamond d9 and Xcon 12
The Xcon's will surely be accurate in the proper enclosure with proper amplifier settings. Out put should be no worry with a pair of Xcon 12's.- Welcome to the IHoP
Lolol, If I had a dollar for ever ytime I heard that I would be a retired man. I love when some guy says "SSAudio What is that? Some Cheap Knock off? My [insert mainstream company] would blow those subs away". Funny, no one has dared say that to my face.- Anyone know where the hell TEJCURRENT is?
No idea, he stopped paying for his section and we have had no response from him.- Noob from FL

- Hey there
Welcome to the forums, thanks for picking the Icon. For an automotive install, to properly do a Transmission line, it would be a massive enclosure. The suggested sealed and ported enclosures work very well for the Icon.- Fi and Ascendant Audio

Welcome, nice sub and battery.- How would 4 12 inch Dcons sound
I would highly suggest seeing if the box would fit properly. Some people have pre-cut boxes, then assembled them in the car because they were too big to slide it. As said before, power is not an issue, fitting a box the size 4 12's will need to be ported properly (say around 7 cubes after port and driver displacement) is the issue. - Diamond d9 and Xcon 12
