  1. 2 grand is plenty for a "sq" set up. Agreed, a sound quality setup is more about the install and driver placement than spending big bucks. And, appearance of the install and what the judge wants to hear. Sorry, there is too much subjectivity and things out of the competitors control to take any "SQ" competition that includes appearance and no objective testing, seriously.
  2. Might sneak out early. Exhausted and I have so much driving ahead of me.
  3. Some how have to make it another 75 minutes.
  4. Kind of up in the air at the moment, but the Zcon is pretty nutty.
  5. That is kind of what I have read about with the Evo's, STi's seem to be a little easier on the wallet to keep on the road.
  6. Someone buy me a plane ticket to the Keys, right the F now!
  7. 10 down, 40 to go Fucking finally, that was THE most RETARDED law I've ever see be put into law. When this first came out, it was always test test test, I swear we spent 80% of our class time prepping for tests. That will never go away here in MD or even in VA. Too many delusional pie in the sky people with power.
  8. What did you have, and are you saying the maintenance was a lot to keep up with?
  9. Not to butt in here, but we do not claim that the ZCON is an SQ sub. In fact, we have said the opposite of that. The ZCON was designed with brutal output in mind, while sounded good. Just wanted to clear that up. Thanks. swear i have seen you say "not bad for an SQ sub" when people post results... but perhaps i was wrong. does sound great on music tho. right behind your head in a wall.. somthing i think most subs have a problem with. EDIt: i looked back where i thought i remember you saying that i could not find it.. im sorry for the misleading remarks i made, i dont want to me known as that guy.... so i re track my statement. but in no way was it negative to SSa or the Zcon sub,. That was me in reference to the Xcon.
  10. With a picture of a schnauzer behind it, how fitting.
  11. Welcome to SSA, you came to the right place for information and helpful people. Nice choice on sub woofer. Feel free to ask away on pretty much anything audio wise on here.
  12. Brad, you have a knack for finding good cheap power, and I know you dig headroom. . Have you had any play time on the newer PPI's? Curious, because I liked the older amps, just like the older Soundstreams.
  13. Best post. . Sadly, that is a mega investment that is not in the NEAR.
  14. Depends on what coils if they will be over powered. Read above. He says Two D4 12" Dcons. He could order two single 4s.That way he could give 200rms per sub with the sax125.2 or 250rms with the aq750. A pair of D4's and run the SAX-125.2 in 4 ohm mono.
  15. SSAUDIO.com came online in 2001. Mark and I merged in 2003, and started what is SSA now.
  16. The DCONs are much better quality than the RFs. Also made in the USA! exactlyy what i wanted to hear, i kept convincing myself the rfs were better, for no reason becase ive never owned rf or ssa, but in comparison... would the 2 dcons be persay louder then the 2 rfs in the means of rattling your car apart. The enclosure will have a huge effect on that.
  17. We have had a number of customers grab a Sundown SAX-125.2 and paired it up with two Dcon's and loved the results and minimal current draw.
  18. Headroom. But keep in mind there are a number of other factors being left out, and adding power is usually the least efficient way to gain output.
  19. Nice camera. I hope to have the cash to grab a new DSLR late this year.
