Just say something like: After this day we will no longer answer emails about the deal and we will no longer be selling anything at the deal price. It will be as if it never happened. If you ask us we will reply with, "I don't know what your talking about the (product) is always priced at $XXXX.XX" I wish, but I have a policy of answering every damn email, no matter how stupid, that comes in.

Not that easy, but it is a start. In terms of the sound deadening, it roughly means your system has to work less to achieve the same, along with there being less outside noise to contend with.

The approach many people take can very wildly, in terms of quantity. Meaning, many believe in the less is more, such as in the less there is in-line of the signal, the less there is that can taint or color the sound. I have been in a couple of cars that have been super simple systems, with amplifiers with very little features. One install had those PRS amps that are essentially gain blocks. An install that ranks in my all time favorites that I was able to take part in, was all powered by an AG650.6. Other's approach is more tweaking and tuning the better, so you will see independent 31 band a side EQ's with digital DSP and time alignment and multiple front stage drivers for a raised and more adjusted stage. Personally, something in between I feel is the best approach, while not trying to act superior to others because you spent more on snake oil products.

This opens a can of worms. Why buy SSA when Fi exists? The similarities are striking. The various product lines are nearly identical in price. Why would Fi design and build better subs than their own for another company and sell them at the same price? Different models, different needs, different price points. BOTH modern designs made here in the USA.

That is great to hear. How do you like the sound (not output just sound) compared to the Xcon's? The xcons were in a large ported setup, and the icon is in a smaller sealed setup, so aside from output it's still not quite a fair comparison in terms of SQ, but any way: Listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u5egl8vt64 The icon is outstanding, at max volume it was able to nail every beat from the above without any sound of stressing. Played a bunch of Cake, Evanescence, Tool, and a few bass heavy songs. My stereo is finally complete, killer front stage, and slightly excessive bass with the utmost realistic sound. My car sounds like theirs tiny people playing instruments on my dash. I'm extremely pleased right now.
