We just got some very nice Nikon 10x40's a few days ago for my sister.

Looks flush baffle to me, and the port is kerfed like crazy. Rounding the inside corners isn't going to make an audible difference. True, but it is a nice touch and shows attention to detail, and in some cases, every last little bit done to smooth air flow can help.

Shame that it is like this sometimes. There are so many trade offs. The Zcon's are crated, and that adds a lot of weight. Which, in turn, could raise the drop or damage probability. In a way you kind of can't win.
