  1. P5, do it.
  2. Talk to Mark some, their algorithms have changed some.
  3. Pictures not loading for me. I like seeing our drivers new homes, and I want to make sure they go to a good home.
  4. I have not gotten the final sizes to Mark, just been a bit behind, hence why the page is not updated yet. But Sean is correct, over all the box sizing will not change too much. The driver displacement is greater and the motor is stronger, so initially it was leaning towards a slightly smaller box. The original Icon was beautiful in larger then average enclosures with 200-1200 watts. The new Icon is a little more aggressive and lost a little bit of efficiency.
  5. Sexy sexy. Damn it, you got the first production 18 Icon, I wanted it.
  6. My xcons were quite sophisticated. Xcon's are the civilized choice, Zcon's well they would be:
  7. Should be nuts.
  8. Beautiful. I believe you are the first person to snag and official production Icon. So you can think of that as Icon 12 #1.
  9. What the heck, did they play hockey with it?
  10. From personal experience, I had a single 10" Dcon in SSA's recommended ported enclosure and it did more than "make your ears tingle just a tad". Some songs were just downright painful at the right volume. If I ever get to the point where I have more room to work with, I won't hesitate to run a multiple Dcon setup. Right now I'd love some Dcon 8's. *wink wink, demin* Do I sense some new SSA product coming? No, not yet. There are issues with the goals we set and performance specs we want to meet, to financially do it with out going to China. Think about how expensive Jacobs new SA-8 is going to be. If we do that here, we are going to easily break the $225ish barrier, which makes it a tough sell. Hard to have an 8" model cost a chunk more then the 15" version.
  11. The fact that there are so many different stories, someone is not getting it right or the company is not consistent or people are making ish up.

  13. The 9800 is a nice piece, I have not owned it. But I loved my 880, and will not sell it.
  14. I think you need to talk Mark & Aaron into starting a beer forum and setting you up as the first vendor on the new site Mike runs http://www.shroomery.org/, it is a massive site with much more traffic then we have. So I am sure if that site would be better then what Mark and I could do from scratch.
  15. Wow, that is some very fast depreciation.
  16. The guy that does the forensic testings name is "Manlove".
  17. Riiiiiight.... Is there a Jim Morrison? If so, order me one stat.
  18. Not calling you out Aaron, but I would love to see some evidence of that documented somewhere. http://onemansblog.com/2007/03/27/prius-outdoes-hummer-in-environmental-damage/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_vehicle#Environmental_impact_of_hybrid_car_battery http://helenathegreat.hubpages.com/hub/Prius I don't have any hard numbers, but there are more and more articles, like the ones I linked, addressing the issue of the environmental impact (damage) of making the batteries/cars. The mining and preparing the raw materials for the batteries, the energy used and pollution created to do so, the very distant locations these materials are sourced from in relation to the battery plants, and the shipping of these batteries and their parts all over etc. etc. even before the car is assembled.
  19. Quite a story. Happy by head trauma?
  20. Possibility for some cancellation, but you are gaining a little loading with them firing towards each other.
  21. The greatest part of that video is the Prius driver is obliviousness to the fact that the production of the batteries in her car have already created more pollution before the car moved 1', then that pick up truck could ever create in its life time.
