  1. Um, no. I have seen and held both, quality does not compare. It is foolish to think other wise.
  2. The build house has been slammed as of late, so they are a little behind.
  3. Rubber? You can send the driver in for a recone.
  4. Will did a 57 and change this past weekend I think, and has been doing consistent 56's with well less then 12k watts.
  5. We prefer to take the intelligent approach to finding a solution here.
  6. Looks like decent equipment. Welcome.
  7. I have no problem voicing my opinion whether it is liked or not. I own a SSA product. Unless I see some product design testing (by SSA) and specs it will be the last. MY OPINION -1 if you like. I guess you missed some of the info in the past. Anyway, the "Zcon" model line has been in the works on and off for a few years, but only recently did it get a name. There have been more then a few different big power prototypes that we tested and did not move forward with. We even flirted with a 4" coil, but did not go that direction. A couple of years ago, we had started to go with a massive triple stack driver. The output on that model was just bonkers, way more then any of our other models, but it did not have the clarity we require from our production sub woofers. Had a number of samples built up, there are a few videos on our channel with these installed, I believe the most viewed one is of John's green blazer. Over time, things got moved around, and other models were released first. A couple more prototypes went through Mark's truck, most recently the one with the two massive aero-ports. We do plenty of testing, Mark usually films his, I don't. The testing Mark does is more video friendly then my critical listening testing. As the Zcon model design is finally set, that is why we had a handful go out initially before they were actually for sale to the public. Knowing we could not send them out on the market just yet due to steel supplies, it was good to get a few out there in Team members vehicles and let them do some extended abuse testing in a number of different installs and power.
  8. It appears the SSA does not design products therefore specs are unknown. Completely different level of product. ZCONs are comimg very soon guys.... finally. And the introductory price will be killer! No thanks. We work with two of the best in the industry when dealing with each new model. We have had T/S specs on the Zcon, we have not released them yet, but will shortly.
  9. Not a pre-sale, t-shirts were a rarity, just good pricing when released.
  10. Looks great from here.
  11. Yes, all SSA drivers are built to order. As I said in a different topic about a Dcon just a few hours ago, that there are a number of Dcon's being built right now and as soon as we have tracking we will update everyone's order.
  12. I already announced SSA will be doing one, I just got back in the country and we will have one going shortly.
  13. Just got off the phone with XS, your batteries are on the shipping palet, going out today. I will have your tracking by end of day I was told. Sorry for the wait. What about #1780? Mine was put in on the 12th as well. The build house is running a bit behind, we have a number of Dcon's being built right now. As soon as we have tracking, we will update the last few orders.
  14. I believe that there are a couple left of the 665's.

What sizes will they be offered in, and how do the specs (wattage and enclosure sizes) compare with the XCON?? Also have heard about a FCON, any info on these?? The Fcon is on hold, there is too much on our plate. I LOVE our prototype, it is very close in sound to my ear, and performance to a smaller version of the 1st gen Icon, which is what we were aiming for.
