Normal order, processed, we paid for Sundown product, product shipped, product received, week or so transpires, claim of wrongful charge on CC submitted to paypal by customer, paypal yanks $390 from our escrow, I provide Paypal with tracking information and order info, claim sits in paypal dispute for 2 weeks, paypal rules in favor of claimant and we are out product and money. It is a canister filter. You might need a specific wrench to take the cover off. Make sure you have the replacement filter before you change it as it can be hard to find at times.

I dont think ANYONE down talked the forum directly, just the decisions made keeping 1800 woofers on there site, that is all. Actually no. We are not sweeping anything under the rug. Kevin has really begun to repair his reputation and improve his customer service. We did not decide on anything until he made his decision to refund the customers and make it right. Now that it appears he is working to turn things around, it is ok that SKAR remains for now. If we were sweeping this under the rug (like happens on other sites all the time), you would see topics deleted and posts deleted, but that is not the type of business we run or forum we lead, you can find that other places. Kevin now understands a little better in terms of the online world and I hope he realizes how important each and every transaction is. There still may be some changes, we take this stuff very seriously. haha. He finally refunds a guys money after a month and thats how kevin has really begun to repair his rep? I have seen or been told about most everything in the past by now, that is why I had talked to Mark for a while about parting ways with him. If you happened to notice, 1800Woofers is leaving SSA. Kevin appears to realize that customer service is more important and is focusing on that. We are putting morals over money, again.

To both, Bravox is closing their North American HQ / operations.

Sadly, it does not make sense what so ever, at this time, to be a distributor for Bravox, (though another dealer does not think so). Here is the deal, Bravox is built in Brazil and so their build costs are greater then companies that go to China etc. They are, on average, a higher end brand, and imported higher end brands are getting hit the hardest from the damaged American economy and constant lowering of customer awareness of quality and performance. Now with that said, Bravox had to continue to raise their prices over the last few years to stay in the USA. Well they hit a point where they were not selling enough and ownership decided to return all operations to Brazil. What is happening now, is their American headquarters is closing and we are able to blow out the remaining stock here in the USA. There are a number of models we had trouble moving only a few pair, even with these stupid low prices. Now looking at the logic, to sell the next series models, pricing will have to return to normal, but that normal will be much higher. Reason being is that Bravox is no longer importing product to the USA, so a distributor would have to (raising the price), now you have a distributor in between dealers and Bravox (raising the price), and new products traditionally go up a few dollars every years (again raising the price). All equaling to much more expensive pricing on products that have trouble selling at drastically discounted pricing, and with the brand leaving the continent lowers awareness, promotional, and makes dealing with Bravox much more difficult due to the international issues now in play. That is why it makes no sense to become a distributor for a brand that has struggled in sales the last few years. We sold off a bunch of our stock at our cost to a local dealer a couple of months back. We could become a distributor, but I am not going to tie up thousands of dollars in product that has all the above obstacles and have it sit here for way too long. If there was suddenly a crap load of demand for their products, or our pricing structure change greatly, things could change. But I used this group buy as a gauge to see the viability of continuing to sell Bravox, and it was not nearly strong enough sales wise to warrant continuing on, which is a shame as I have a great business relationship with the North American HQ and they really like us (actually in the middle of an email with them right now), and want us to become a distributor. I hope that was clear enough in my messy thought stream.
