Some companies will provide "high output" box suggestions, where others will provide peaky SPL competition box sizing. Also depends on the limits of the driver.

Just grab some ass and the occasional boob Hah yeah right. I shaded off the guy I was covering to cut off a pass to a female. I beat her there by a clean 2+ steps, and never touched her, but I got called for obstruction. Outstandingly bad reffs so far this session.

True, 1200 watts is plenty of power for the Xcon. We answer countless emails from people who want to put 3000+ on the Xcon, there is no need what so ever.

As sub woofers go, the Icon is pretty much average when it comes to enclsoure sizing. The Xcon will preform very well in the Icon suggested sizing. Size to size (example 12" Xcon compared to 12" Icon), the Icon will prefer slightly larger then the Xcon. So for an Xcon 12" 1.75 - 2.5 cubes tuned to 28-33hz would be a great start.

That is going to be hard to say since the SA-12 is fairly new to market. They should certainly be up there with the IA LI in performance respective to the power ratting. But until someone has put them both in the same install, it is not that easy to say. Jacob has done some high output testing.

It is not worth pushing the Dcon that far past it's rms ratting.
