I sent you a picture heckle via cell from behind home plate on the 3rd base side. Either way, it was a beautiful day and win, and a little redemption for the back stabbing from Tex seeing him go 0-4, and Burnett (both were boo'ed on epic levels, wonderful to see that passion from the fans). Plus seeing CC tank was interesting. Not to mention a tiny bit of instant karma ala anti-Jeffery Maier style in left field. I am not going to trash talk you as it is just the 1st game and I am not that type of 'fan', and the Yankees should come storming back, if they don't man what a waste of money. Anyway, all that mattered was that yesterday was a great day for Baltimore baseball, not just because they beat the Yankees is stylish fashion at home on opening day, but that there is a sense that they have turned the corner and could be headed back to the killer Orioles of major winning proportions from the late 60's through the mid 80's. We know that this is not the year for our team, but it is an awesome year to watch what is coming; 3 stellar starting pitchers on their way, and the #1 prospect in all of baseball (kind of funny when Weiders had not played an inning yet and there are articles saying he is the best catcher in baseball and probable ROTY ). Plus what is happening right now with Roberts, Guthrie, Markakis, Jones, Yoji, etc. etc., young talent that is only getting better and better. As in a great hope has returned to this team and it's fans, and that they can surpass the massive Ripken shadow. So one great day to give hope to the fans and the team for the future, even if it does not mean this year. Go O's.
