  1. There are people running a 3000D on their BTL, but some don't need that much power, and others cannot properly support an amplifier that large.
  2. Sprinkler system design for fire suppression in a building. Hot tub?
  3. Just wondering, but how many times have you posted on a different forum telling someone to come here? I have posted loads of links directed over here when there is helpful information about to the topic at hand. So it's ok for you to recommend that people come here but not for people to recommend somewhere else? There is a big difference when it is a link that can help answer the question, compared to telling someone to move to another site. By posting that link, you are telling them to go to another site. You could just post the information. Once again, completely different when I am helping answer a question or finding a solution that has already be answered here, compared to just plain telling people to go to another site. In addition, I am not going to copy and paste information that people other then myself have posted, so a link would be posted regardless to cite the source. One is clearly beneficial and supports the topic on the original forum, the other is not. We can keep going in circles on this, but the difference is very clear. While I agree there is a difference, it's not great enough to warrant the deletion of one kind and not the other. Why's it a big deal if someone else recommends another site though? If you were truly confident in the quality of this site, you'd have no worries. Nothing was deleted, only one post was moved to a place where it could be discussed. I have no worries on the quality of the site, that is and has never been in question, what was is the intent of a user to purposely try to make members leave with them. In addition, there is no issue with suggesting another site when the other site has information needed that is not supplied on the current forum, or has features not available, etc. Deleted and moved to a "Topics under review" section are basically the same thing. Both remove the post from the public's eye. Who said anyone was trying to make people leave this site? It's not as though a person can't be members of two forums. And other places can offer things that SSA currently does not. The intent was clear, and the last sentence of my prior post answers your last two sentences quite well.
  4. Uh oh. Do I hear really thick rear tires and fire extinguisher?

  6. Wow. Want to make a topic in remembrance? So long old buddy.
  7. He's already talking about 64 to 128 of them in a tunnel wall *laughs*
  8. V6 or V8 gone?
  9. I know the feeling. With out a garage or decent work area or enough proper tools or massive commute or lack of time, it is very hard to get things done and still be motivated.
  10. Don't be sacred.

  12. Believe me, I know the feeling all to well. Heck, just 7 years for me. I was on the road making decent money. With a wife, child, two jobs, in-law's and so on, things are much more complicated.
  13. yeah its kinda like on the btl The BTL backplate has a greater diameter motor, and shallower bump out. The Xcon needed this custom backplate due to the single slug motor, the long coil and extended mechanical travel of that coil.
  14. Almost bought some stuff from digikey. I was impressed with how quickly they replied to my questions about shipping. I've seen mouser beeing recomemded by someone who used to repair amps. Small capacitors shouldn't be too expensive, give mouser a try [offtopic] What amp is that in your avatar ? US Acoustics ? [/offtopic] Thanks for the info. Yes it is a USAcoustics, Specifically a USA-2300f. [offtopic also] Me = Jealous [/offtopic]
  15. I need catch up on all my old ones past.
  16. I went to school with brothers named Sakurai.
  17. The way things are looking so far, neither of those two issues will be a problem for you much longer.
  18. There is a topic in the Fi section about the different options. I would suggest listing your listing preferences, planned box, level of usage, and how hard you plan to play the driver.
  19. I would suggesting asking Mach5 directly.
  20. Can you provide more information as to goals, space, listening preferences etc.
  21. Can I ask what you mean by that?
