It is good you understand that at your age, because there are people well into their 30's & 40's that still don't understand. Car audio is a tough business from a money perspective. On the grand scale, SSA as a brand is barely known outside of the small world of the audio internet, and until we have big money to really grown it will stay that way for a while.

He is doing good. Had a little surgery on his ear, but he is fine and is as nutty as ever. Just really starting to learn to talk a little. lol, how old is he now? 2? good to hear his surgery went well even though i didn't know he had one. That's cool he's learning to talk. I miss my ex's little one. He was a handful but children are a blessing and he was a great little kid. I learned a lot from him Turned 2 in March.

Can you explain your goals a little more? Meaning other then "SQL" and the number of components you plan to put in each door. Or are you just looking for loud and not so much staging and clarity? Do you want them to keep up with the sub woofers? Do you have an amplifier for them yet? Do you have a budget? Do you have size limitations? Are you willing to try active?

I enjoyed the SPL-12, but there are a number of people who are normal customers that can vouch for the great performance of these drivers.

Maybe this thread has turned into something positive that people can learn from. DSB, as jim mentioned, you could easily start learning and experimenting with home audio for sure.
