4 year old Audi compared to a brand new Dodge, I don't think it is too much to ask for good quality craftsmanship. If you are looking at the Audi, have you considered a 325iX ?

Nice. Surprised you went with that style port instead of an aero.
The amplifier is ratted and warrantied at 1ohm mono. But as Jim mentioned above, just because an Icon can take plenty of power, it does not mean that it needs it.
We are very limited in what we can do because we are very limited in funds. There already is an 8" driver in the works but it will not be shallow mount at all. The TB drivers are a very good option and the price on PartsExpress is always good.

As mentioned earlier, your initiative is good and meant well. SSA is mostly high end home and car audio that is respectful of others around them. So the nature of the site is very focused in that nature. Start reading up on some basic concepts and ideas, many of which are posted right here on this site. Just think of it this way, you have a major head start on audio on so many other people.
The Icon's get plenty loud in the right install.
