But it will be worth it in the end as the travel issues with the cone will be gone compared to the standard 12spoke 8" cone. Any teaser pics or anything else yet? By not spending money on speakers that are behind you, you can afford better speakers that are in front of you where they should be. The next thing to ask is are you just wanting to do passive components off a single 2 channel amplifier or are you considering active off a pair of 2 channels or a 4 channel amp?

I vote Orion, I ran mine at 8ohm mono and 4 ohm mono more then 1ohm or lower.

1000 watts for both in a daily install is more then enough power. Brista, if they are dual 4 ohm coils, I am sure there are plenty of people that would suggest the Sundown SAE-1000D. If they are dual 2, a PG RSD 1200.1 or Kicker1000.1 would both do the job well.

Better for what? Both are well known and popular batteries.
