  1. Welcome to SSA. I hope to travel to Sweden at some point.
  2. Exactly, I did some house cleaning a few years back. But now it is not worth it, so we just keep everything.
  3. I will be back down when Arthur is a little better of a traveler.
  4. This should be outstanding. Nice work on the sound deadening. In my daily driver, the value of the Second Skin is greater then the amplifiers and speakers.
  5. I was at the Opel factory in '97 where they built the Omega's.
  6. Very clean!!
  7. FF3 is loading ultra fast for me at work. CA-F.com has almost no delay it is awesome.
  8. I grew up with Chopin, Mozart, Vivaldi, and some Bach. I don't listen to classical enough anymore.
  9. Now if I could only bring back some of my German. One of my all time favorite cars, the 500E.
  10. Based off the IXL 18, if I wanted a 10" higher power driver (other then ours) that was first and foremost built for clarity (much of the idea behind the Icon ), the IXL 10 would be one of the top selections.
  11. Ok so what exactly are you asking? Looking for an all out SPL box? Daily driving to attempt to listen to music? Or a peaky box to show off?
  12. You will have to ask a few companies because most don't recone, and if the company that made the sub does not do it, it could be a little bit of a challenge.
  13. Both have the ability to sound great and have strong output. But the results depend more so on the install and the power you plan to run. I am guessing you are probably leaning towards a ported enclosure. I would suggest, dropping the capacitor and upgrading to 1/0 power and ground wire. As for the two different Fi drivers, the SSD is a great all around driver, and many people run them sealed and have very clean sound out of them, and many people who own the Q, run them ported and send a ton of power to them and have good numbers on the mic. Now, those are on the opposite ends of the design and intentions of the sub woofers, but I am trying to make a point about it being all in the install. I would either run the SSD w/copper coil option, in a larger low tuned ported box, or the Q (stock) in a well built sealed box.
  14. I think you are missing the point, it is not the subs or the amp, it is his install and how well he did it.
  15. Then those fools need to listen to the 8" in my car.
  16. I agree, for an SPL comp. type subwoofer, it does a good job on music.
  17. Flipped over to Maxthon for a little, except I miss the spell check.
  18. 6:30 game tonight.
  19. Motors. It was in a matter of 2 weeks that we were wiped out of parts in inventory. So we did not have time to pre-order the parts.
  20. For the trunk, I would focus on getting one layer down on the lid and floor. Then start working on the walls and wheel wells.
  21. Don't worry so much about a certain wattage figure. If you are not competiting, then sheer power is not really all that important, and a few hundred extra watts is not going to make all that much difference to the ear anyway. If you want 12's that are designed for high output, there are a number of great choices here: Incriminator Audio DP 12" Fi Car Audio BL 12" Ascendant Audio Havoc 12" Mach5 SPL-12 Now they all have slightly differing rms levels, price, and marketing direction, but all will play very well with 1000+ watts on them. I am not an expert all the drivers, but I have plenty of time with the SPL-12 and BL. Both are very good choices, very high quality build, but are in slightly different classes. The DP 12 is pretty new to market and a number of people like them so far. All are available online. The most important thing before considering all of this, is your electrical system. It would be foolish to spend all this money on high power equipment and not have the current to supply it with. Heck, you would probably be happy with a single Sundown 1500D and a pair of BL's in a large ported box. That will be way more then loud enough to show off to people if that is your intention. Also please consider some sound deadening.
