Single 10" ICON D2 on a SAZ-1500D
The only thing with this set up is people are going get the wrong impression and think that a 1500D on an Icon is the way to go, then crank the gains and wonder why the thermal limits of the driver are hit and they need a recone. Mark is clearly experienced with loads of extra power.

- RL-s... not popular???
Havocs cannot be bought online anymore, so you would have to find a dealer. MAG's are not here yet that I know of. So it is a win win situation in my eyes between the RL-p or the Q.- RL-s... not popular???
The RL-s is a great driver, but like mentioned above due to the coil and the power levels, along with a larger box size, it tends to be more popular in the home audio crowd. It is a driver with very high limits, but a few obstacles to reach those limits. I would love to own one for my home stereo. That should say a great deal that I am saying that.- Audison Or Focal
Ok, sounds like an idea.- Audison Or Focal

There is still a tiny market for hi power SPL 10's, but the hard thing for us is we are too small to really do any specialty stuff yet. But I would be very interested in what you have in mind. As there is a possibility to do a 10" version of those 18" prototypes in the SSA section, they would be totally useless for daily to do basket and suspension limitations.- Nightshade Recone
I think it will cutting it too close.- Welcome to the IHoP
I tend to steer away from XBL2. Details ? Personal preference and I guess some what comes with it. SSA will not have an XBL2 driver. How about just an under-hung, large excursion driver, something rather efficient like a pro-audio driver? Red portion above is in the pipeline. mmm, any protos I can buy and test in the Volvo ? Not going to get you a prototype before I get one. Interested in said high excursion woofer... Especially if available in 10" for Street A. Motor width and suspension travel needed won't allow the use of a standard 10" 12 spoke.- Welcome to the IHoP
Not going to get you a prototype before I get one. Understood chief ! Stupid chinese buildhouses won't sell me some samples and that's why I asked I was hoping to see said prototype this week, but don't think it is going to make it. But I will keep you in the loop as to what is happening with that sub.- Welcome to the IHoP
what program are you using? autoCAD 2008 I am stuck with 2k4, but trying to get them to move us to Revit.- Welcome to the IHoP

LOL, I have an IXL 12 I think the next step is to "con" her into more power Crap I forgot. But if you need anything on the cheap made by one of the major names, wink wink.- 12" Sub geared more for output
Hold out for the IXL 12? If there is something our distro has I will help out.- Welcome to the IHoP
