  1. I gots ideas for crazy hard bang yo Blow up my car I am curious what the idea he has for the Icon's is.
  2. This, from a product positioning perspective would make sense. As with the SAZ-2000D in the pipe via the 1500D, as the S**-4000D via the SAZ-3000D?
  3. If you don't mind me asking, what is it about this design makes it a better approach for Sundown then the 5000 or 7000 watt models? (Other then cost to build or repair)
  4. I have not personally done much work in Tahoe's, but plenty in SUV's. First off, what is your goal from the subwoofer? As for enclosure type, you can get clean clear bass from ported variants too. But personally I would start with sealed enclosure suggestion and face the sub woofer towards the rear of the vehicle while moving the back of the enclosure as close as possible to the rear of the seats.
  5. That first picture almost gave away a some of the blackmagic.
  6. Combined with the DC 650.6 should be something very sweet.
  7. i'll bite.. how much? and how many? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee We don't want to give a price until we are positive. And less then 7.
  8. should invest in a carport...nice as hell for the unexpected rainy days. Unless you have a home owners association that does not allow it.
  9. Thanks for the update, all good things come to those who wait right?
  10. The sub it self is not bad. It is the company/people behind it that are staying in business because of it. Honestly, it is not a grudge because the problems are still there. I believe it was Rudeboy, on another forum say something along the lines of, it is hard to get rid of a bad image if you keep doing bad things. But based on your post above, a Fi SSD might be the way to go if you decide to try a different sub woofer.
  11. After catching up, it seems people are grabbing lil'scooters. So keeping my wifeys old scooter with all its dents and dings in the doors is looking better and better everyday. 32-35mpg. (Amanda got it stuck in the snow a few years back and the Towson snow plows used it for target practice)
  12. Your whole world is changed right?
  13. Get those suckers going, you were one of the last ones to grab an Icon before we ran out of motors.
  14. Update: The super8 testing is going pretty well, it is doing fine now, but the one major limiting factor is the basket. We are going to have to move to an upgraded basket to really let this driver do what we really want it to do. The current one is limiting its capabilities and we really want this driver to stand out, and to reach that goal we have to switch baskets, along with a few other little tweaks. Bad news: Adjustments pushes production back a while, and it raises our cost some. Good news: Adjustments will show a noticeable improvement in performance across the board, end cost will stay the same and not be effected by the changes. Side note: we will probably do a mini-run of these 8's, which will be identical to the prototype I am testing now that a few SSA members can grab to try out. But with the understanding that there are limitations to the current version and there will be upgrades to it.
  15. We are moving to coupon codes to reduce the amount of time we have to put in everyday on emails for best pricing. If you look at the description of the 1500D for example: Sundown 1500D at SSA Shop the coupon code is right there at the top in red. All you have to do is enter it in and you will see the discounted price. Less emails, faster information to the customer. Only draw back I believe is that the customer has to register.
  16. Remind me to check tonight. Got real sick last night and we had a massive down pour, so nothing got done. Aaron, I am looking for the depth too. I have a design cooked up for my 08 Jeep Patriot as well. Ahh crap, I knew I forgot something last night. Was too busy listening to it to remember to pop it out and get a depth measurement. But put it this way, it is not shallow for an 8.
  17. Yes, go below 1ohm and it will really open up. But it needs a stout electrical behind it.
  18. I guess Mark let the cat out of the bag. Crazy enough, I was one of the biggest proponents to bring it back.
  19. Nice balls.
  20. Sleepy already
  21. There was an old 190E I almost jumped on. Would have been nice, little bigger then the civic and much smoother ride for about the same mileage.
  22. Exact reason why my sled sits. But I got 34mpg out of the civic on the last tank.
