Good question; the size is from the size of the coil. But it was also to help with cooling, a little less moving mass for efficiency, and power handling. A few have mentioned how it lowers power compression. Yes, I know that is normally thinking for subwoofers, but people are running more and more power to their doors, and while this is not intended to be a PA style speaker at all, I still had to take into account where the market place is going, and those who are sending lots of power and running multiples, worry about output. (holy run on).

Same, been a year of getting this all going.

Working on getting an HKS y-pipe, mid-pipe, and hi-po exhaust for theIS on the crazy cheap only slightly used. As in all in, all 3 shipped, for less than just the exhaust new. I hadn't planned to do that much on the exhaust, but this is a deal that is hard to pass up. MAYBE, at best 11bhps increase overall. So low expectations for minimal increase.
