  2. Who knows. If a K-car can run 10's, I guess anything's possible There was that 10 second tubro Chrysler mini-van.....
  3. Steve-o, keep in mind me eruo-snob bias. So I will lean towards older used german long before new american. Plus any self-respecting piezano drives something classy. Side note, I am eye balling a used C240 6speed, they are impossible to come by. People never sell manual mercedes, much like volvo 240's they just drive them until they are no more.
  4. Wow ... the used A6 seems to be pretty well priced. $14-$16K (CDN) for an ~'01. Just was thinking the AWD and great ride would be right up your alley. If you are doing mostly highway, I say avoid the 2.7T. Great motor, I got to drive the very first 2.7T motored car in the US (when I was with Motor Week, it was actually in a Passat), and it has wonderful forward squirt, but if you are mostly highway crusing, the added insurance and fuel consumption is not worth it.
  5. I'm guessing the whole "new Impala" thing? I'm sorry! I'll try not to get one! Probably the sin of FWD and V6 is what he is referring to.
  6. Not going to ask. I will try to get there, but it wont be in the Mercedes. Civic still has a lot of work left. Took my little niece last year, her appendix ruptured while we were there You could roll on down and do the same thing I'm gonna be doing...............Watching and dodging questions Well my goal was to try a low level SQ class and be there to support the TeamSSAudio competitors. All two of them.

  8. can you put up a list of what you've still got? Oh boy, that would take a while. If you PM me requests, I can dig. The for sale pile, one is about 5' the other is 3' tall. I'll send you one later today Ok, just can't promise how fast I can find tell you. I promise I will throw in extra records for fun.
  9. I'll have to check in with you later this summer to see if it is still around. I am going to be spending quite a bit of time driving in the next few years so this summer brings a new or new-to-me vehicle. Going to look around tonight to see if I can find any decent deals. Been looking on Autotrader.ca a lot lately too. From what I can see right now, the '07 one year lease return Impala's or Grand Prix's for ~ $18,000 might be just the thing to hold me over for a few years and treat me well on the highway. I can see you in a black A6, or silver E320. Used of course to bring the price down.
  10. Software and programming are the worst. Never bought back.
  11. On this day in 2005, YouTube launched. In 1995, Kevin Mitnick was arrested by the FBI and charged with breaking into some of the United States' most "secure" computer systems. In 1946, the first general-purpose electronic computer, ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer), unveiled at the University of Pennsylvania. And in 399 BC, the philosopher Socrates was sentenced to death. Happy Birthday Alex Borstein (1973), Chris Farley (1964-1997), Janice Dickinson (1955), Matt Groening (1954), Jane Seymour (1951), Harvey Korman (1927), Cesar Romero (1907-1994), John Barrymore (1882-1942), Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906) and Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." - Mark Twain
  12. Captain, hint, Icon 10, hint. Wink wink nudge nudge.

I hope to install the speaker tweaker kit here shortly.
  15. You better put on your AC/DC shirt during testing.
  16. We cannot give cost yet because a few things are not finalized. The idea behind the pictures, was to show people we are still working on the sub line and not just sitting on the Icon. Great as the Icon is, it does not come in an 8 or 18, it costs more then most want to pay, is not an SPL driver. Now in now way am I saying the 8" pictured above will fill all those needs, no way, just that we are working on new things. Kent don't worry as things progress you will be one of the first to know.
  17. What vehicle? If it helps, one of the best street A guys in the world runs a single massive sewer pipe port rearward with one ten forward facing and one drivers side facing. That is in a CRX.
  18. Great choice on the sound deadening. Wish you picked the Icon for sub bass.
  19. As I can only be considered a casual competitor, I see it as there are a few different ways to approach the internal design. I have noticed a good number of competitors going with smaller inner air spaces and separate chambers with external ports in hopes to fight impedance rise. While on the other end some guy are going in the other direction with one huge air space and a single massive short port for the most efficient set up, almost to the point of free-air. Both ways are effective, and both have their obstacles.
  20. We going to see install pictures?
  21. I thought the SD-1v1's were SVC8, and the SD-1v2's were DVC4?
  22. On a serious note, will you add the Mach5 logo that adornes the SPL12 to the production 8?
