NOT class D. That is a viscious lie. Will be the ultimate flexible SQ amp. More probably with tube options. I am just going by what Stephen told me over the phone. Why would I lie about amps I love? :sarcasm hand raised: Aaron You were put in your place, and how dare you talk about something you were not clearly informed about. :sarcasm hand raised: I think I might just quit coming here daily and just pop in one every couple of months do a list of mass postings talk chit and then repeat the cycle again. Just because *Pulls out wet noodle used for slapping.*

NOT class D. That is a viscious lie. Will be the ultimate flexible SQ amp. More probably with tube options. I am just going by what Stephen told me over the phone. Why would I lie about amps I love? No accusation implied. I had heard the same thing about the big class D when I called and asked about a big class D he told me that was BS. We talked for a little while just before Christmas about this and it sounded to me like an amp that would do anything from 4 channel to true mono and anything in between to 1-8 ohms depending on setup. Anyway, perhaps there's more than 1 in the works? Perhaps class D is an option? Perhaps it's a multichannel with a class D section? It definitely sounded to me like a lot was still on the drawing board so who knows? I have got the impression from Stephen that 1. He isn't a big fan of class D, and 2. he thinks people who run at 1 ohm are arsehos.....Then again, that doesn't mean he isn't building something for that market to either. OR, perhaps this is all wild speculation and a vast conspiracy of misinformation to get the buzz out about what's coming. Either way, I'm going to get the biggest meanest one as soon as possible. Like you, I'm just going by what I was told. Pretty exciting speculating though since you KNOW it's gonna be sick! I am very excited. I just remember him mentioning about the complaints on the current (outgoing) models, and size/footprint was an issue. So he touched on full range class D and how with ZED's work for large professional amps recently, the technology has got to the point where sound quality is pretty close to A/B. As for the multiple channel, multiple load wild thing, I heard verbatim what you posted. I think he wants to move to just 2 models total. But then again, he did just say via IM Sunday that it is still in the design phase and things can change. Either way I am happy to see a growing number of ZED fans coming here. I cannot wait until I can get my skilled fiber glass'er friends to help me finish the SSA SQ show car so the two signed BB ZED's can go in there.
  7. Sale? No sale, only free shipping offered on a very heavy driver.
  8. Well I am not sure the websites are actually done yet.
  9. I agree with Duke. As a lifer Terp fan, thought I would never say that.
  10. Mike you have to be one of the better Sound Splinter customers. I hope to have an RL-s in HA in the future.
  11. i don't think the rl-s needs a huge box to get loud. i got to a 139.9 outlaw with a single 12 rl-s in 2.5ft^3 tuned to 32hz with just 1200wrms and a factory gm radio. now that being said, it won't offer it's flattest response, might lose some on the extreme bottom end, but if he's got enough power............ wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee My fault on the wording, it was two ideas in one sentence. Meaning they prefer large boxes, but don't need them to get loud.
  12. Welcome, but I would suggest starting a new topic in the Fi section to find out about your question.
  13. Can someone scan the mag for those of us who do not get it?
  14. We are working to make it better for the members who go there everyday.
  15. The mini does not fit Kent's personality, but a fun scooter non-the less.
  16. In some cases, for a daily install, a single larger amp is easier on the electrical system then two. Also, there is a perception out there that subs need to be run at or above their rms, there is no need to unless you are chasing tenths on a termlab meter. If you are dead set on an amp above 2000rms, you might be able to find a used Crossfire VR2000D or Orion 2500D or Kicker ZX 2500.1 for a great price. Any of those three I will trust more then HiFonics. Heck maybe even a single IA 20.1 will make you happy too.
  17. I was going to go into a rant about little kiddies wanting to bargin below a great sale price and then saying they can get it somewhere else cheaper because they think their boy can get it direct, but f'it.
  18. Hello Mr Moyer.
  19. People don't understand the size of Fi Car Audio, or what it takes to machine things for each order (if it is called for) or put drivers together by hand.
  20. why would the hifonics barely do 1000 watts? Because it's a Hifonics. They're not known for their rated power, they're known for being cheap. o damn, i thought they were a good brand. everyone's got them. That is because they are cheap. I have personally seen a good number of them go poof in competitions in just 2007 alone. The kicker, for daily usage is plenty of power, some are specing out close to 1800 watts. That is more then enough for those subs, if you feel otherwise, it would be best to start thinking about sub options on the SSD, or moving up to the Q, in addition worring about electrical support to a large amplifier.
