Sounds wack to me. So basically what your saying is your alternator is only charging at 8 volts? Double check your grounds. Also do you have 1/0g power from the alt to the battery?

I was gonna say the Q it gets lower, if your gonna be feeding it 1300-1500 watts (which that RF is capable of doing on good voltage) id get the bp power upgrade.

Whats your electrical consist of? I heard those RF 1000 can put almost 2000k watts up

Trust me Mechman is the best out there! Over on the caraudio.com forums thats who everyone is getting there alts from. He gives you a 50 dollar rebate as well if you use pics of his alt in build logs. I ordered my alt Friday and got it Monday! Mechman is doing worlds wonders for the car audio scene!

I hear alot EA is a hit or miss. Go with Mechman alternators! The best IMO!

Ive owned both. The ICON is a very good sounding driver, definetly good for low music. As for BL's I found it that my 15" BL's had problems hitting the lows. Anything 38hz and lower the BL's had problems getting loud. If you just want output get the BL's they sound decent. If you want low and sounding good get the ICONS.

Alright well right now I am running it on my stock alt at .5 with volts dropping to 11.8 I dont do it all day daily. Ill play it a couple songs feel it to see how warm its getting then back off for a good bit. Went to a local comp and burped a 148. What kinda output is the 3000d putting out a .5 on 11.8 volts? And what kinda output gain will I see at 13.5

Well currently I have no room in the back of my SUV. So the only option to mount the amp is on the box. My box is subs up port back. I have room on the top to mount the amp. I put a couple coins,keys, and other chit on top to see how bad it vibrates. It definetly vibrates, but will it be bad for the amp?

What do your volts drop to?
