  1. Been there. Love the XCON. I have an 18...still my favorite sub-woofer I've ever owned.
  2. Looking good Randal! Purple LP amps make me all tingly. Glad my build log helped. It was my first 'big' install.
  3. I absolutely miss my Avalanche. I hate I let it go. Tuned in Randal.
  4. Just got caught up on this log. Good stuff Casey. What vehicle are you looking to upgrade to?
  5. Nice progress!! I feel ya on the tunes...been without any since june myself.
  6. Talk about take you back...had a set of 10's back int the day...
  7. the x # of inches per cube is a myth. port sizing is more relative to sub displacement capability...throw(xmax) times surface area(sd). whe i was building a box for 2 15" ethos, Quentin suggested 104 inches of port for a 10 cube box. I use this one - http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 Quentin suggested I use 22mm for xmax(instead of the 30 mm max). But I was pursueing a flatter response curve...Tuning to 22hz. My avalanche build log in my signature covers alot of it.
  8. very cool looking build...tuned in for sure.
  9. Read one page of this and felt compelled to say that 'this' is exact why I don't visit SSA like I used to. every thread turns into bickering.
  10. Hell yeah! I have a 92 RCSB with a 4/6 in my shop. Bought it in 95. Had 3 JL 12w6's on a MTX Thunder 2300. would beat pretty good for what it was. Porting the bed was always my hope- but couldn't bring myself to cut it up. Definately Tuned in. Whats the front stage plan? Mine had crappy 4x6's in the dash and rear pillars. had to cut holes for a 6.5 component set in the door- totally amateur ish back then.LOL
  11. Congrats on the wedding my man. I'll hit you up on f/b.
  12. What's it going in? Would love to see the blow though part of the build. Always did love 'ported beds' as we used to call them 20 yrs ago.LOL
  13. nice as always Jeff- I need to send you mine for my burb...
  14. Wish I had it...
  15. Sick as usual man!! Whats the purpose of staggering the subs? I am seeing that alot more now. Preventing cancellation?
  16. Been off the web for a bit... Nice build man!
  17. Loving that color on the camaro. Fits the car well.
  18. I think hes going larger on the sealed...IIRC. Looking to help his impedance curve. Read it elsewhere...
  19. Hell yeah Swift! Tuned in!
  20. All my ported boxes so far have been dual sub enclosures with a side slot port. never noticed an issue...but honestly never spent alot of time watching the subs. But when I did they seems to be hitting equally. I was hoping to learn way to know if it would be an issue, by posing my question.
