12" SSA XCON d2 & Crescendo BC2000
So I've been using both equipment for a week now. I'll start with the XCON. It is in a 2 cu. ft. Net and tuned to 32 hz. It sounds amazing from higher bass notes to the low notes. Ppl can't believe its one 12 even though they are staring at it. It has a very nice deep tone with very good accuracy. The lows are INCREDIBLE! This subs moves so much air. I haven't listened to any bass so far i didn't like with this speaker. I like a lot of rock and rap. Not to mention it looks great. Didn't seem to take long to loosen up. I love it, just wish I had one more. Now on to the amp. I previously had a mtx thunder elite 1501d running at 2 ohms. All i did was Change the sub, box, and amp. The crescendo has to be more efficient. I have it running at 1 ohm and it seems to draw about the same power at one ohm as the mtx was at 2 ohm. At 2 ohm the mtx has a birth sheet saying 1211 rms and the Crescendo is 2250 rms at 1 ohm. Very happy with that. The bc2000 seems well built. The setting knobs are smooth and the rca's fit snug. It does get almost hot after hours of playing full tilt but not to hot to touch. The pair of sub and amp sound great together. Hopefully this helps someone. Thanks for reading

Mustang Build Log
Its 2 cubic feet after port and displacement. 31W by 12.5H by 19D. I trimmed the top section up by about an inch to inch and a half. I built it but Quentin Jarrell designed it. He designed an awesome box that kills the lows and sounds great on all bass i play. Thanks Quentin!

<p> This is just of the sub portion since I already had everything else installed and replaced sub stage. I went with Quentin's box design, 12" XCON D2, and BC2000. Only thing left is the 270a Mechman. I'll just run through what i have. Kenwood excelon, 4 kicker ks68 6x8's, 2 kicker tweeters, each Tweeter is in parrellel with a 6x8. running the is a MTX te404. Looking to upgrade speakers sometime in future. All 0 guage wire for big 3 and ran to the back baterry and sub amp then 4 guage from batt to te404 amp. Replaced my MTX Thunder 9500 12" and a MTX te1501d. Here's the pics.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20130920_133415_zps3ce8b654.jpg.html?sort=3&o=16</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20130921_153500_zps1956e06c.jpg.html?sort=3&o=15</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20130921_155953_zps5001fd0e.jpg.html?sort=3&o=14</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131016_222903_zps66dada10.jpg.html?sort=3&o=13</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131017_194024_zpsb20d17cd.jpg.html?sort=3&o=12</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131017_193902_zps2988ff9d.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131019_074751_zps3967ffee.jpg.html?sort=3&o=10</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131019_074831_zpsb1a11365.jpg.html?sort=3&o=9</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131020_171256_zps8a8c4438.jpg.html?sort=3&o=7</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131017_232651_zpse631cd0c.jpg.html?sort=3&o=11</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131025_181650_zps9cac7036.jpg.html?sort=3&o=6</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131025_181710_zps9664a4b2.jpg.html?sort=3&o=5</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131025_182008_zpsc53b975a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=4</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131025_234512_zps169fe6bf.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131025_234756_zps644d23d6.mp4.html?sort=3&o=1</p> <p>http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/Omega_Ace/media/20131025_191503_zpsb3d9f4f1.mp4.html?sort=3&o=0</p>

Can I fit 2 xcon 12's?
i bet 2 sealed xcons would be pretty amazing. I have never personally heard any ssa subs and can't wait.

Can I fit 2 xcon 12's?
I would love 2 xcon 12's and have already trimmed the opening to get that height. Quentin I have built the box you designed for the single xcon but unfortunately can't post pics from my phone and that's all i have for internet. What would be the best route to take for the port design? I was hoping port in the middle with sub on each side.

Can I fit 2 xcon 12's?
I am currently waiting on my 1st xcon and want to run 2 eventually but don't know if I can. I can slide a 31W x 12 3/4H x 29D through the rear seat opening. That is about the max size i can do through the seat opening i could go an extra half inch in the sides and maybe an inch on height but would be tight squeeze. Also i want ported if possible. Thanks for any help.

Noise Pollution ticket
I asked a cop here in Florida and he said there is no law against it but to just be courteous and don't drive by and vibrate store windows. He also said that if neighbors complain multiple times that they can give you a county violation.

Design questions for 15" or 18" SSA Xcon
I got the box put together except got the top but my lap top broke and i can't upload any pics on here so i was wondering if there was anyone i could text the pics to and they could put them on here? I also have a question about the box. I was planning on rhino lining it and was wondering if i should just spray paint the inside of the port or if a thin layer of rhino lining inside the port would be ok without affecting the tuning that Quentin layed out.

Question about ports
If you have two boxes at the same volume and say one had a 2" slot port width and the other had a 3.5" port width tuned to the same frequency would there be a difference? Would the 3.5" port allow you to feel the lows better than the 2" port but sound the same since they are tuned the same?

1211 rms on thunder 9500 is the video name on YouTube. That is my current set up until I receive my xcon. I will post pics of box when it is finished and of current set up.

Design questions for 15" or 18" SSA Xcon
Thanks again. On the corners of the port do i sand them to a rounded edge? Will be my first ported box. Got any tips or pointers? You suggest forward firing or rear? If forward firing should i seal it off from the trunk? I know i would feel the lows on a forward firing set up but i have heard that you might not hear them as well because they are a long sound wave and need as much distance as possible before they reach your ear. Any truth to this?

I will measure the box i got in there now because that was about all we could fit, that was with using the spare tire well to get it through the trunk opening and the bottom latch on the trunk removed. Give me about 15 min

Design questions for 15" or 18" SSA Xcon
I want the bass to be accurate. I listen to a lot of rock but love the bass from rap/hip hop, bass music. My sealed 12 now has deep good sounding bass and I'm still looking for that but just ok a higher lvl.Due to the qualities of a ported enclosure, when designed so it will always produced more pronounced lower deeper bass. Doing a 12 ported would result in more volume over an xcon 15 sealed and have no audible difference in sound quality. With the ported, is there any difference between aero port or slot port? With an aero port you can change tuning frequency by changing the aero port, right? I want a good frequency range for the different types of music i listen but i really love it when it gets low. What do you suggest on tuning frequency and it should be rear firing for both the port/sub?
