  1. Ports are ports, in all honesty SPL guys use aeros because the displace less because of material used, and they are easier to modify for tuning purposes, NO other difference.
  2. Isn't the KnuKonceptz Fleks 99.9% copper? The Fleks Kable is copper, but at $3.40/foot what would you pick?
  3. And you never will. No Syd Barrett, no Pink Floyd IMO. Just a bunch of living in the past lost souls at this point. I've been told that nothing last forever ... I've also heard the these are some insane shows !!! I'd also like to see the transsiberian orchestra one of these days .... Great vids bro !!!
  4. It's CCA, that's self explanatory. The cost difference is too small to matter, if copper and CCA are similarly priced I'd ALWAYS buy copper. So weldingsupplies wires are a NO-NO? I was thinking about doing the Big 3 with 2/0 from weldingsupplies since knukoncepts do not have 2/0 So I guess I should stick to 1/0 from knukoncepts? Welding cable = copper Knu - copper clad aluminum
  5. even if you put your nose in the port? lol well of course then. But i mean the amps set perfect & it only does it when the speaker heats up! ughhh i need someone to tune it for me lol You're not supposed to smell heated coils. It's probably burning off excess glue, nothing bad there.
  6. I said that because it's a myth, you can't get noise interference that way.
  7. Happy birthday!
  8. Mmmm copper.
  9. I'd go with the Stetsom, more efficient.
  10. Great feedback kid, obviously people come here to read remarks like this. Thank you for existing. The fact of the matter is, if the OP has a stronger than stock suspension(which he failed to mention) and if he is doing it for pure SPL(which he isn't being tuned to 30 Hz., AND he said himself it is for music), he will be needing to order a few recones, because the SA motor is very strong, and will launch the cones our of the baskets in too large an enclosure, combined with being on a 3KD.
  11. No "normal" 3" coil woofer can handle that on music. The SMD had a huge 4" coil and a unique motor system, it's able to handle quite a bit more power vs a normal 4" coil woofer, but again, music is a bitch.
  12. Of course you'll need to double your port area if you increase displacement capabilities.
  13. Lol, 1500 watts to a pair or 8's in an enclosure twice recommended size... good luck

That made me LOL Scott I'm trying to tell people the same thing, when they say it looks weird so it must not perform.
  15. Fellas, Jacob stopped warrantying amps that blew under .5 because tards with stock electricals were trying it, if you know what your doing it will be okay, it does decrease the life of the amplifier but all electronics eventually give out with use.
