How much difference between 1 ohm vs. 2 ohm loads?
That's dependent on the amplifier.

How much difference between 1 ohm vs. 2 ohm loads?
Right You pick your impedance depending on what you plan to use for amplification.

Does anyone know the res frq of a 01 Grand AM?
Who said you need to do that? Build your wall, seal the port, then test and you have your resonant frequency with the wall in place, then cut your port to the required length.

How much difference between 1 ohm vs. 2 ohm loads?
So let's say I have a D1 ohm sub wired to 2 ohms on an amplifier that delivers 1000 watts at 2 ohms, then I switch it out for a D2 ohm sub and wire it to 1 ohm and put it on an amp that does 1000 watts at 1 ohm, do you think there would be any difference?

What sub
m5! Impious is not ///M5 Flat response in what? We need goals, a minimum power rating doesn't mean anything. Your not looking for a flat response your looking for something that sounds good, and get's loud. Your not after SQ. Guaranteed.

Problems with xcon
There wouldn't be a problem with a little glue separation there at all, I would run a bead of epoxy there to keep it from separating further.

read these comments lol
Layers has a lot to do with it as well, but a normal 4" coil has MUCH more surface area than a normal 3" coil.

is there prefab boxes?
They aren't tacky, and perform very well if you build it right. Never buy a prefab like that though, you can make a better enclosure yourself.

read these comments lol
The HCCA has a 4" coil, in the same application it can take quite a bit more power
