  1. i have it all the way down now. I have never used it. What about an external eq? is it the same as bass boost?
  2. Hey guys could someone help me as to how to go about setting the bass boost on my amplifer? Is it bad to use it? SAZ-3000D
  3. are there any 3500's still available?
  4. If you like the way they sound sealed, just keep it like that. If you want more output and sickening lows, go ported! I would tune around 32hz which should give you a good range from 28-65 or 70hz. I have my crossover point set at 80hz and subsonic filter at about 28.
  5. kool man, have fun with your setup. That darn air compressor sure does kill amperage..
  6. Just watch your voltage and dont crank it to the max before you get the batts. in. I wouldnt run it below 12.5 in any case.
  7. Thanks for that info
  8. It is not set in stone that you have to run that size enclosure. I would shoot for around 1.75-2.0 cuft per or 3.5-4.0 cuft total after port and driver displacement. That will let you command the lows with authority!
  9. only 8mm of xmax? This cant be right. 2 15's will give you more output typically but it is all install dependent. Do you have someone to build the enclosure or guide you through it?
  10. nice. where are you planning on placing your batteries?
  11. Hey i have a 2007 Grand Marq. if you need any pointers on that car i'd be glad to help! 1 thing that helped my sub stage out tremendously was cutting out the back deck to allow the air to "port" through the rear deck. The trunk of those cars is so sealed off from the cabin that there's hardly anywhere for the air to travel through. Also, the bass will destroy your rear deck speakers, just a fyi.
  12. x2 i second that motion also, but it really depends on what the op wants. He is the one that will have to live with it. What are your goals op?
  13. with only 4 cubes net, i wouldnt try to run three. Two would work good in 4 cubes net. You will need around 8.2-8.5 cubes net before port displacement to get roughly 6 cubes, which would be 2 per driver.
  14. If you do the slot port, let it be on the bottom of the enclosure instead of on top. I have an enclosure like that for 3 12's and it works better with the port on the bottom instead of letting it resonate off of the trunk lid.
  15. It is night and day difference. these compare to the 2 FI Q 15's that I used to run. Sick amounts of output! I love the lows they produce and the quality of sound is top notch.
  16. Before M5 jumps on you, SQ and SPL are COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! """SQL""" does not exist. These two terms are never to be used in the same sentence and never worded together. Death Row Series Introducing a brand new line of subwoofers is something Incriminator Audio hasn’t done in a while. We decided that 2008 would be the year for change. This year IA introduces the DR, short for Death Row. The DR line fills in the power handling gap that is between the LI and the DP. The DR is geared as much toward SQ as it is SPL, so this would be considered by many to be the ultimate """SQL""" woofer. Like all other lines of IA products, the DR comes STOCK “fully loaded”. I didnt make this up. Tell that to Nick at Incriminator. I'm pretty sure he knows what kind of subs he produces
  17. Death Rows are sq/spl or more commonly referred to as ""SQL"". SSA Icons are along the same line as well. You cant go wrong with either. What are your goals? Daily beater? Loud? Low HZ? You can lean more towards one or the other once you figure out what your goals are.
  18. Im sure Fi's specs for the subs are EXCLUDING PORT AND DRIVER DISPLACEMENT. The numbers you are referring to is the amout of airspace that the woofers MUST have in order to perform to their potential.
  19. what is your goal? 2 15's has more cone area than three 12's.
  20. I see him over on SMD from time to time.
  21. I too have hade many questions for him and he always responded promptly.
