  1. Nick Lemons of Stereo Integrity designed the subwoofers, he is a SQ guy but like a lot of sub woofers they have the potential to be very loud depending on the goals of the installation. The Obsidian is a budget friendly sub woofer that would fall in between the DCON and ICON. Depending on budget, get the one you can afford. You won't be dissapointed with either brand.
  2. the xp3000 is essentlially the d3100. From what I've read the xp is better for daily groundpounder systems whereas the d3100 is better for comps. Also audiosavings will be having a sale on the xp3000's this month or next. Can get the info on smd. Right ... Nathan said for daily ground pounding the XP line will be a great choice.
  3. And with cabin gain it should be a sphincter clencher ....
  4. Look into the new XP series, either the XP- 2500 or XP-3000
  5. Simple way to put it is a sealed box inside a ported box. And it loads off itself generally instead of the vehicle. And they usually play a wider frequency range then normal ported wall. I'd be more then happy to help you design one. Another feature is you can either narrow or widen the passband frequencies it plays. Example you can tune it to play down to 20hz up to 80hz etc, etc.
  6. I ask a question to get help and there are nothing but negative remarks, your moderators arent know it alls. Perhaps if there was a question asked we would have answered. Read the first post! You've changed your mind many times since then, we'd love to help, but you insist on not listening. I do all I want is a good 3way active cross over.Is that simple enough for you? Here is a good 3-way active crossover for you ...
  7. If running a fuse from your alt I would recommend at least the alt amp rating in fuse size.

  12. Excellent value! Great looking photos!
  13. Keep the amp and buy the sub which fits the budget. All Fi drivers are great, but your application I would say the BL would be the best fit!

  15. Not sure on WS size but this is the company I use for all my cable ... Trystar
  16. The main reason is because they offer different voice coil configurations. D1, D2, D .7 etc.
