I traded a friend my Sundown SAZ-1500D for his Eclipse CD-7200 MKII and I love it. Great sound, great processing and great features. To bad they have left the 12 volt North American aftermarket.

Probably. You need to remember though, that level of output is done in higher tuning ranges generally. Also, with even 2k watts youre looking at an extra battery at least and possibly a High Output Alternator. Id stick to a single 18" Xcon on 2k watts for this build, I'm sure you'll be surprised by how loud that is. x2^^

That old of an amplifier from Alphasonik will be able to be ran bridged but only at 4 ohms and please follow the directions of the manufacturer.
Totally different drivers and goals! I thought you were looking for Deep Bass?
The XCON has a very good reputation as being a low end monster. It is designed to be a SQ first driver with great thermal capacity. Do a little search here on the forum and read some of the reviews.

Most vehicles tend to slope inwards as they go up. Just not to sure on your vehicle.

I have my 2 LI series 15 tuned to 35hz and they are loud, have great transient response and will move some serious air while still sounding good. I would check out the tech section (Enclosures) on the IA Website and use what they recommend.
Go through and check to see how your engine block is grounded.
