Good advice on not opening if still under warranty!

I have ordered from SDS and Don was very prompt and helpful. The CILD Tiles work great for eliminating irritating panel resonance. I also used the Butyl Rope to seal around my front speaker baffles in my doors and the around the lip of the door panel itself to help seal the door panel. The Butyl Rope has a lot useful value for all kinds of irritating buzz' and rattles. Stick with SDS and you will not be disappointed.

Give us some goals! SPL orientated or Daily ground pounder? Vehicle, musical preferences, electrical upgrades?

Thick as in muddy sound? Check your box tuning and HU settings as well as crossover and bass boost setting if used. The DCON has a very crisp, tight sound to it along with great lowend. Your enclosure and install will be the main factor in any sub install.

Open up the amp and take pictures and post them on here! Somebody may be able to help you more. Make sure you don't have a short somewhere in the B+ or in the speakers to the amp. 8 ohms should not be a problem.

Look around to see how many forums RD has been banned from for their SHIT buisness practices and SHIT products. Yea there may be some people that got lucky and have not had any issues with RD product. But the ones that have been scammed far out weigh the positive. RD sucks and always will. I would buy from WalMart before buying from RD!

I would advise reading through this before posting again ..... Attention NOOBS!!!! - SSA Car Audio Forum 2 10" drivers vs 1 10" will be louder (Cone Area, Motor Strength) 1 10" driver designed for SPL on twice the power vs 1 10" driver designed for SQ on same power.......Waste of time imo! 2 different designs and purposes for the drivers.

The million dollar question; i was afraid that would be needed, they are the factory made Aiwa (not a bad brand at all) speakers. i cant remember the model number so i will try to post pics after i can figure out how to remove them from the box, no screws visible, so i want to be positive it isnt gonna destroy the box. I will post pics of the boxes them selves though. Better off leaving alone and going to Parts Express and seeing what is available for your application.

It's possible, you will have to take into account of the port displacement when tuning. Better off starting from scratch and building a new ported box. Then compare it to the sealed box you already have.
