I think Jake you should post a sticky stating that all Sundown Products and specifications are subject to change due to continuing upgrades, modifications and improvements! This would help clarify to all that Sundown continues to develop and improve new models and older models will be phased out.

I dissagree with you on this one! I used to think that the bigger the woofer cone the sloppier the bass! Boy was I wrong. I have my 2 15" in 7ft^3 net after all displacments and they are very transient, roll off nicely and imo very accurate. People have commented on how loud they are but also how accurate they are on lower notes.

Depends on what he meant for lows! If he likes the lows from Rap/Hip Hop then that generally is in the 30-40hz region.

Great choice on a woofer, I really enjoy mine. I have mine in 7ft^3 tuned to 35hz. I listen to mainly Metal and every now and then rap for show off. Your amp should be more than adequate and tuning should be as well. I would recommend tuning a little lower to 30hz for your style of music. What size woofer's you looking at? Vehicle type?

Give it time and I would recommend putting up a build log with pics of your install.

x2, your going to need strong electrical to back that up I understand that and I do plan to have a strong electrical but whats your opinion on the Death penalty compared to a dc level 5 or a FI BTL? Depends on installation! All have the capability to get very loud. All 3 come from great companies. IIrmc the LVL5 is an SPL only woofer not sure though, the BTL can be configured to be "Daily" or "SPL" and the Death Penalty can also be customized to fit your needs. As far as which will get louder no one can tell you that.
