  1. The SSD will require a sealed or ported enclosure. If you want an infinte baffle set up you should have gone with the IB series from Fi.
  2. Yea $200 for a pair of subs isn't much. I pretty much have my mind set on getting those. I checked out a bunch of subs and there's always something i dont like about them. From specs to looks there's really not much out there. I could get some kickers but damn everyone gets kicker. Now i just have to sell the Fi SSD 12 i have and get the PG's. I heard good highs before the Fi and i heard really good lows with the Fi so im curious how this is going to end up. Then i'll be set for a while and can save up for some real drivers . what dont you like about the SSD? X2
  3. Best bet would be to email Jacob about the displacement, Xmax and recommended enclosure questions.
  4. What's your budget and goals for your system?
  5. Spend your money wisely and find somebody reputable that can build an enclosure to the speakers T/S parameters and get the most out your subwoofers.
  6. Hope all is well!
  7. Nice score! Congrats on the 1st place...
  8. Looks great! Keep up the good work!
  9. You say cheap? You get what you pay for!
  10. Trial and error is the best way! I have found that 5/8" has worked the best as far as depth. Depending on radius of the port anywhere from 1/4" to 1/2" spacing. I'm no master by any means but it worked. I am using a 1 1/2" roundover bit currently. It works awesome and can take a good amount of material in one pass! 11. Here is the technical breakdown options for the BL series. Hope this helps.
  12. The Z15 would be a perfect match for your SAZ-1500D. It is(was) geared towards sound quality but it can be very impressive on SPL as well.
  13. Imo 150 is dang loud! And then get it out of a trunk! Well that is just plain impressive!
  14. Nice looking box! Good job!
  15. Please dont. After they stole a design of mine to use themselves, tried to lie their way out of it I called it quits. Also- from an actual product standpoint- Look at the spider set up. its one spider, dipped in resin. these start to sag VERY quickly. ask terra how the line of subs he had built for him are working out they are a bunch of lying thieves who "build speakers" from a shed in there backyard. Im asking you honestly- PLEASE look elsewhere. Can you explain in any more detail on what they stole? Curious as I thought they looked like a quality built product.
  16. No offense, but please use proper grammar and sentences! So hard to understand what your trying to say! People are more than willing to help when they can understand what your trying to say!
  17. Pierce Audio does OEM for other companies so I would think they would be a good choice. Let us know what you think of them. A true in depth review would be great too.
  18. I would have to give the XCON my vote! SSA ftw!
  19. Never heard of it. only reason i ask is because i can pick one up for $40 CND and i've heard they retail over $150 US. i've read up on it on there website, but to me it just seems like every other 'bass reconstruction' processor Sounds like a different version of the "Epicenter"! Sounds like a good deal though for $40. Could always try it and see how it works for you.
  20. I guess what I am going for is more of a subjective sq/spl system, tweaked more to the low end, not necessarily a flat response. Sorry, everyone describes it differently. I was too vague and I do not know exactly how to voice it without adding SPL to the description. Also I have a Pioneer DEH-p800prs and might purchase my friend's Audiocontrol dqs if that would be a good decision. I am installing a few of the second skin products in the next couple of weeks too, starting with the damplifier this weekend. As for the front stage, will the three way eclipses not cut it even with the processing I will have? I was hoping to eventually save up for some Focal K2s or Morel Supremos (They both sounded great too me, leaning more towards the supremos). I also have the eclipses for the rear or would you suggest something different, like a simple rear fill, as opposed to the three ways? Your 800PRS will have all the processing you will need with the advantage of being able to go active with all the control at your fingertips. Kill the rear fill idea! Not needed and it will just degrade from your front stage.
  21. Your description of it just made me want to get one, and I don't even need one. It is a fun piece to have. Especially if your a "Metal Head" like myself.
