  1. I noticed that. But i prefer to get all the wire in the ring terminal with the welding cable, rather than having to trim some down with the CA cable. Seemed pointless. If I want 2/0 I will get 2/0. Welding cable still meets the standards for 1/0, IIRC. Getting pure copper, be it a tad smaller than leading CA cable, cheaper than CCA I'm all over that But you can get pure copper car audio wire for same as welding wire. And if you use the correct ring terminals, you don't have to trim. But if you use 1/0 welding ring terminals, you will. But why would you think its pointless if you have to trim? Do you think just cause the wire isn't actually in the terminal, that its not getting used? I meant it's pointless to have a wire that's so large you have to trim it to use it with crimpable ring terminals. I don't solder my terminals, I prefer pure copper terminals I can crimp. So I guess I don't use the "correct" ones for CA wire. Oh well, those are too expensive anyways. This is a much better ring terminal than this imo!
  2. Congrats to the winner!
  3. I believe the new IA 40.1 is an all new circuit design and of course smaller footprint. But just like the old version it will do more than rated and be stable to .5 ohm. You won't hear an audible difference between old and new.
  4. Just a thought here but take a look at this 3" full range from Aura. This could make for a a really nice 2 way active setup with your Exodus drivers. Possible mounting options could be down in the kicks or up in the A-pillars.
  5. I think SSA sells Skar subs not sales them. I blame my Engrish teacher. . I blame your teacher too ...
  6. I think SSA sells Skar subs not sales them.
  7. i vouch for this guy on getting your skar subs I wouldn't vouch shit for somebody like this!
  8. To bad it takes a few bad apples to ruin a good thing going. One reason I won't support or recommend SKAR to anyone is the undercutting!
  9. I love creating Shitbrix moments! Best is when last years MWSPL top dog champ did a burst and it made my friend about jump through the roof due to him having his back turned and not ready for it.
  10. How is $5/ft competitive? $5 for OFC is the going rate for 1/0 car audio wire. Check to see what Stinger, Knu, RF, Kicker and Memphis price there OFC for and you will see its competitive.
  11. Don't lose hope or resort to crime! Look into job corps or military to get back on track!
  12. Sux to hear man! How old are you?
  13. SPL sound? SPL = Sound Pressure Level = Measured reading I have ran the Incriminator LI-15 and the SA-15 and they are all out performers and can get brutally loud for their power handling. Both were very musical with the LI sounding a little tighter. The SA had a very nice heavy sound to it. No experience with Skar but Jacob from Sundown Audio helped design the Skar. It really comes down to the install and the accuracy of the enclosure design, vehicle, installation and the end user! I would go Sundown - SA or Incriminator - LI just for the Customer Service and reputation you will recieve from the owners, designers and builders of the sub woofers.
  14. What program is that your using to plot the Exodus drivers?
  15. XCON was designed as a high power SQ sub. Its reputation is legendary at the quality and output. But the SA-8 is just as legendary as its output and response are great. If the 3 8" drivers fit then by all means go with them as the output and sq will still be impressive. But it comes down to install quality and knowledge.
  16. Darn impressive for the price point these woofers will come in at. Will the thermal handling increase when you add the SA style spacer?
  17. There not even worth the flimsy outer mold. I will never use them again or even recommend them. Worst thing is there not even sealed. Funny you say that because I'm actually planning on cutting open the back of mine once there finished. How much are you planning on cutting out? Q-Logic has no back what so ever, meaning they are flimsy as hell.

  19. Your much better off doing it by hand as you can get the sound you want and they will be solid construction.
