  1. why wouldnt you run it... from the test it seems like it makes rated power... I just stated my opnion is all. thats like saying, a fast food place will get you full, its true, but wouldn't you enjoy a home cooked meal better?
  2. http://www.caraudioforumz.com/general-discussion-10/visonik-4000xd-tested-5416/ I wouldn't run it, but if you can get it at a good price, then why not.
  3. Such a cheap ass! get that bc3500 whore
  4. Soooo, have you thought about how you will get it out?
  5. More shit in the mail lol Ran short on cash, 4/0 cable should be ordered next week early some time. Gonna cut it close for the show.
  6. My offer is still there FYI!!
  7. Thank you for answering sir, really appreciated. There was rumor of a 4" coil driver, but with how busy they have been I'm not sure if that is still on the table. No Comment Great to hear. Thank you
  8. Its not just the rms, its also the required space that had me interested. Also, I could give two shits about smd himself, its only the driver that I was looking at, not the name on the dustcap.
  9. As I'm still going through early stages of planning for my upcoming system, I have been trying to figure out the subwoofer combo I can come up with to maximize the output of my vehicle. And as I was looking at different drivers, wanting to stay with SSA, I thought I was set on 6 12" zcons. But for shits and giggles, I looked at the SMD driver as well, and noticed how much less space they require when comparing. Utilizing the demensions I have available, I could potentially comfortably fit 4 18"s SMD drivers. So my question is, being a die hard SSA fan, I was wondering if there are any works in producing a simliar driver. I won't be ready to purchase for at least another 8 months, so I'm in no hurry, was just wondering and hoping if there was a driver in the making, or at least being talk about that shares similar specs (high rms rating & require small space).
  10. LMFAO yes, the tweeter did jump ship indeed, pos. lol no its my fault, many moons ago, when I was initially reconnecting the boss amp, I had it set to FP, reason being, I was thinking hey, this set has a crossover, so it should do its job. Wrong, it was sending either way too much power, or the wrong freq range to the tweeter. So as I was adjusting trying to figure it out, I guess thats when it went poopy. And its gotten worse since. I've been recording on the same echoe phone for all my videos. Though, this is probably the 4th different echoe I've had since recording lol The gain on the 5500 is about little than half way. Can't say for sure how much power I'm sending it. Well, long story short, PHUCK that shop. I had to write Pioneer twice complaining. It got me free labor. They replaced the screen. Even though there was NEVER anything wrong with the deck to begin with. Which makes me mad, but after 6 months of waiting, you just want your shit back. Thanks for watching though!!! I'm not sure? I tried to look at both videos to catch a volt meter reading. The lowes I could see is in the waltkthrough video, and it said 12.6.
  11. holy balls batman, that looks loud af!
  12. I've too given thought to my final build. After some number crunching last night, I think I will be going with 6 12" zcons and four bc5500s... @ 16v of course.
  13. I know I don't need to turn my HU up on my 4300DVD unit. Mine is set to 0 while the gain is at little half way.
  14. Videos Taken from my Sprint Echoe
  15. Bass boos - 0 Output level - 0 Don't use the DD-1, unless for checking the HU I have the exact same unit as you. What I do is, set the HU to MAX volume listening, of course this can be adjusted as well if you have a amplifier for your mids/highs. We'll just assume your MAX listening volume is 37/40. Your unit goes to 40. While doing this, ensure your gains is set to 0, and your SSF is set to max. Then, adjust your gain accordingly, meaning, turn it up until you begin to hear/see any stress from the driver. Then you will begin to lower the SSF until again, you begin to see/hear any stress from the driver. Once you are at the point, back down just a hair from the settings and there you go.
  16. I'm saden by this recent discovery :'(
