What kind of racing do you guys do. I noticed the title says ssa racing. I used to do MX when I was young and I drag raced in my 20's on sport bikes. I also did a little drag racing in a F body Z/28 just for fun.

You can silicone it but don't expect anything to hold it. That my friend is a blown sub needing a recone.

Just cut the end of the wire off so there is no metal sticking out of the coating and you want even have to tape it. You can always take off some coating when you go to wire it back up.

Numbers aren't everything but what the product sounds like and holds up to abuse is what seperate's the good from the bad.

Honestly if your looking for the most bang for your buck the soundqubed is the right sub. If you can afford it I might go with a ssa icon it's probably a little better sounding sub that can still get loud. And as far as your box ssa sell box plans for $35 I think it is if you can't or don't know how to use a box program that's probably your best bet.

That's just gonna screw up the soundstage and over all sound.

Can you not mount them in the doors. You can mount mids without fiberglass. May not sound as good but you can get a baffle and a wooden spacer and mount them even if there the wrong size. I am currently putting 61/2's and tweets in a factory 6x9 location.

What does "this will be a DD sub" mean?

I like that red stiching that would match the red stiching in my car on the seats and dash. I always like there stuff glad there making subs now I'm sure they will be awesome like there amps.

Yes excursion does help but you also have motor strength. Subs like the sundown x are good at the lows cause of there huge Xmas and subs like the DD9500 series can hit incredible db numbers at higher frequency's without that much Xmas.

And yes I think the ID max has a similar sound to the W6, just with a little less output. Me and my friend both had sealed boxes and Phoenix gold M100 amps, and mine just hit a little bit harder but they both sounded really good. Now that I think about it we both had Toyota hatchbacks his was a celic and mine a supra.

The guy asked about image dynamics I was just giving my opinion on it I didn't bring it up he did. And I like SSA subs to but I also like other brands. I own sundown, crescendo, kenwood, alpine, JL, and have stinger wiring so I have opinions on many products. And i ain't gonna let no one no where talk down to me m5 or anyone. I would think the NVX is the problem before the alpine those units are used in world champion sq builds and NVX is mid level at best. Not that good products can't mess up they can but I would think the NVX would more then likely be the week link.
