  1. I agree i think you would be more happy with a strong ground pounder. I wouldn't doubt you could make a strong 150 either.
  2. hook that bad boy up just don't go crazy with the gain.
  3. 23hz is a crazy peak in your car not to mention with your tuning
  4. looken really good man keep up the good work. looking forward to the finished product.
  5. Its getting close now. Im starting to get antsy. You have much reason to be man. Just be ready to be amazed.
  6. Im free from 7-12:45 monday - wednesday next week if brandon needs any help i don't have shit else to do.
  7. Keep seeing everyone using these mids must be pretty good. whats a set of them cost if you know?
  8. Like he said. I gotta add every moron thinks they know how to install a system and make it sound good but they don't. That guy just proves his ignorance when he says its all plug and play.
  9. Looks awesome man wish i had those skills
  10. thanks! do you do meca as well? I see you have a headrest score posted as well. **playing "white Girl" I can do a 149.9 *(peak)* this plays music all day with no issues (due to the low power and low tuning) Yeah i do meca but i think my main problem is my car. I think if i could brace the roof up some and use a box tuned higher than 30hz id do a lot better. I was going for a groundpounder though and i got that for sure.
  11. Looken really good man... to bad your maken my score look bad =[
  12. If you have one sitting at the shop you can swap out my 3000d for a test if you want. Just to get numbers cant afford to upgrade any further haha.
  13. If they say they are 4ohm components that means after they are connected to the crossover it will be 4 ohms. The main deciding factor is actually the mid range driver since the coil on the tweeter is so small. It has a small effect on the overall independence.
  14. very dependent honestly. probably wont hear a world of difference but a small amount might meter a few db's higher though.
  15. clamped the amp today and got some good numbers. more than i expected with a rise of 1.7-1.8 Forgot to use a higher tone though, only used a 45hz tone so im sure with a higher tone like 55-60 it would changes the numbers a little. 77.1 volts x 37.5 amps ------------ 2891.25 watts
  16. thanks. ill look into that. well i brought it in last time and i had to get a new radiator and new brakes, some stuff non-related, but they said my alternator was failing so they "rebuilt" it and im guessing it went again so im guessing im gunna need a new alternator when i go back. That'll be a bitch. And last week i just bought a new starting battery. Ill go with it being an alternator. Personally to me i don't trust rebuilt alternators at all.
  17. Your mechanic may be an idiot. What are his reasons for the belt not being able to handle it? Other than that recheck all your grounds and power wires. Also be sure to have your alternator and battery tested that will most likely show you the problem. Iv had a 1200d when there wasn't sufficient power it cut off and didn't harm my car at all, I will say you'll need to pick up a small battery they are pretty hungry little buggers.
  18. 155 is far harder to get due to a vehicles failure rate. It can be done but i think its gonna take a good deal more than 4kw.
  19. Check the rules here man. Like i said before i don't think you can but it seems some people are getting away with it. http://www.mecacaraudio.com/2009mecarulebook/2009%20SPL%20Modified%20p15.pdf
  20. did 2-3 light coats then went back over with 2-3 more heavy coats
  21. yeah they were all broken and crappy looking. honestly i know where every function is and im the only one to ever drive the car so i like it just fine.
  22. no top coat or anything. im sure it'll hold up fine its not like its gonna be beat on.
  23. First problem... Modified 1-5 - Vehicles with non-permanent modifications behind the B-pillars, including woofer walls.
