  1. im hoping so me and my box builder spent 2 hours designing my box this morning and it should be done today some time. he wants to wait for the subs before he cuts the holes for them so its a perfect fit.
  2. poor me says mine is still waiting to be picked up.. hoping to get this done this week before i go home
  3. kinda wish i got to see them in gold when i stopped by but the blue works better. it might look pretty cool if you can get them cleaned up and smoothed out to do gold.
  4. thought about the OHM load the factory amp uses by any chance. could possibly be you problem but what do i know
  5. they are some of the best iv seen or used im loving them.
  6. Well i finally got around to running the wires its nothing to special but i try and yes i have a ricer intake haha so make the jokes..... I think im gonna use the two 4 gauges i have run back already for a little more grounding figure it could help out some more. what do you guys think? Battery connections.. need the stock battery hold down now. 2x Knu fuse holders and 250amp fuses.. lotta power for the back =] About how it looks all the way back. took my time it should hold up like this i hope.
  7. if you can wait there is a pre-order on saz-2000d's for 425. It would be an awesome match in my opinion.
  8. other than i was one of like 4 people that have toasted one they were unsure. none the less its still an amazing amp and i wouldn't hesitate to get another.
  9. Well everything is in place guys. X-cons are gonna ship out monday and the box is in the middle of being built. Stopped by sundown today and got my 1200d changed out and they hooked me up with some goodies. Must say they are some cool guys and i got to see some neat stuff no one else has yet to see and i ain't telling
  10. sounds like a plan mark hopefully i can earn a spot on the featured page soon and actually the team to start haha
  11. right there with ya buddy cant wait till i can show everyone what SSA is all about.
  12. Maybe if you glassed a pod around the same size as the head rest it would work out ok but its a bit of a sore thumb as it sits now
  13. Ill be at the one at Tremorz Car Audio in statesville on April 19. http://www.mecacaraudio.com/flyers/4-19-09NCv2.pdf
  14. Probably could have had your bro's fixed for free man no sense in trying to ghetto rig it. As for making your own coil its probably a waste of time. Itll be hard if even possible to save the surround if you take it apart and coils are a science not just something you try to make. My opinion would be to cut your loss and send it in for a recone you save yourself further headache.
  15. man to bad im poor id love to stick a few of these in the closet for something down the road.
  16. I still like their Power Series amps though.... (I duck and cover my head as I say that on here, but I'm an honest guy) Nothing wrong with that, the big body RF powers are impressive amplifiers. I have not tried or tested the new mini's but would like to. Agreed. I love sundown but man iv gone threw some RFs in my day and they were all good. Power series are nasty amps that are usually way underrated and you can abuse the ever living chit out of them
  17. Its honestly really hard to do in a soft top but if you don't mind loosing your bac seat it can be done with minimal effort. Buddy got a rear seat delete kit for his 03 hard top and had the sub installed in that. it looks clean and sounds decent. I think something like this could give you a good platform to start with. http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/m..._2044_339922826
  18. Nice choice! I'm just torn between it. The 3500d will simplify things and you have less to worry about but honestly if you want to use 1500Ds the output should be equal. 3500d is untested but estimated to do 3800 and 1500Ds do 1600-1700 a piece so there isn't really a clear winner. though the 3500d will be cheaper if you preorder it but then you gotta wait. Thats just my honest opinion hope it helps some.
  19. your not a kidding..... should make it pretty thief proof and shipping out tomorrow makes me all happy i should be getting everything all at once... to bad my 1200d bit the chit today the power light ain't even coming on. hopefully jacob can help me out or im chit out of luck and money.
  20. I dont want to have to buy a new alternator though. My car cant take the 1500 with no problem but its the 2000 i would be worried about getting. Your car may not even be able to take the 1500w. Granted its less than 2000, but typically problems arise after the 1000w mark or so I've heard. All depends i got close too 2k with the 1200d and the 500.2 and at idle i stay around 13.2 at 2500ish i stay around 14. Mind you i do have an extra battery as well. The sae line is less efficient than the saz line as well so you should be plenty fine.
  21. 15s and the box is being designed as we speak so hopefully ill have pictures of it my saturday. may even get some plexi to show off the the sexy moofers
  22. so i got these two beastly subs coming what else do i need to do to earn the privileges for one of these babies
  23. sounds good man i cant even explain how excited i am to see them let alone hold them hahah. wish i could get 18s but no room for them
  24. Just ordered the X-cons tonight with the concave dust caps and the box will be designed tomorrow. Found a local guy who is gonna make it and even glass the box for under 300. Ill be sure to post pictures by this weekend of the box and then hopefully all the wiring i gotta do still.
