  1. whats the internal air space you require? and are those dims internal or external? which way is the port and sub? ex: sub up port back. oh, and whats the vehicle and amount of power?
  2. "sq" of my BL is amazing in my opinion. the only thing people say is I cant hear the words. lol, im not sure if thats why people say its not "sq"...
  3. wow... lol i ordered my sub on the 2nd or 3rd and havent gotten it yet, 12" btl fully loaded... lol oh well not ready for it anyways.. and i havent gotten a tracking number either...
  4. so 1000$ for the whole build? and you spent about 300 on the sub correct? so that leaves 700$ for amp, wiring, box and anything else you may need. so a nice expensive amp is out of the question... but you could still get the aq1200 ( Audioque: Amps: AQ1200D ) for 250$ and have plenty of power for the bl. and if you got all welding wire that would save some money as well. ( www.weldingsupply.com - main menu ) these are my recommendations. if you get the aq make sure you get the d2 BL. and you can always get rca's on ebay and use almost any type of wire for a remote. if you order welding cable just make sure to remember that its gauge is smaller than car audio gauge, so like 2 gauge is smaller than car audio 2 gauge. and 2/0 is more like car audio's 1/0. i would also invest in a good battery. i dont know too much about batteries so i wont recommend any. just my .02$
  5. it was me... lol. welcome and dont forget to post that question about your box. make sure to have your measurements...
  6. very nice numbers!! looks like i will have some competition with my single 12" BTL. lol. im not building for competition tho.
  7. this! and if it werent made in china or korea, you would be paying RF prices... or even more. and as far as quality goes, i work with china made parts daily, it takes them a little bit to get what you want right away (laungauge barrier) but once they get, its spot on from there on out, so consistant its rediculus! and for the best quality go to japan...
  8. The Subwoofer DIY Page - Port Calculations little bit of info here.
  9. optical for sure! looks like it would be awesome to watch a movie in there!!
  10. Damn nice!!! so clean its just amazing!
  11. nope, im going to a 12" BTL. i couldnt be happier with the turn out of my single 12" BL on the rockford fosgate 1500. i just love it. but after about 1 year of listening to it you always need more! lol
  12. my bl took 1500 wrms daily for a long time, i increased the power to 1800 wrms about 4 month ago, and im not sure if i like the results. these things can take some power for sure! only heats up a little bit on 47+hz notes. but that could be multiple things.
  13. ill be there, i completely forgot about this show when posting on this topic.
  14. lol at the topic being in advanced discussions. hahahhahahaha, but click here
  15. why are you at the airport weekly? work? i would hate to be on a plane once a week. Yep, in San Jose right now dang, what kind of a job requires you to be traveling so much? must like a CEO or sumthin... lol i just got back from a weekend in cali myslef, i usually go to san diego though...
  16. they are hard to find, just found a website that may help you in the future. USACi Midwest - Sound Off Competitions for the midwest it seems to be just Wisconsin
  17. weldingsupply.com thats where i get my stuff
  18. why are you at the airport weekly? work? i would hate to be on a plane once a week.
  19. I told you exactly what product you need to look for in my 2nd paragraph. What more do you want? yes i know, a 1/3 octave that starts at 20 hz, but what brand, i now know what type, but now what is a good brand. not trying to be a menace or anything, just trying to do it right. its like telling some one they need an amplifier that does 1000wrms at 2 ohms, does that mean every amp out there will work for them? no. who knows i might chose the worst one... i dont want that to happen. sorry if you consider this spoon feeding, but it will help alot! thanks, Anton Miller
  20. should work, just remember your going to need the tool that installs and removes this, gunna be extra money IIRC.
  21. seems to be what people are saying, but we are unsure as to which size washer we will need. i would use mcmaster for the 1/4-20 bolts, just serch socket head cap screws and then go form there, the 1/4 is the major diameter and the 20 is the thread pitch (threads per inch) you would need to specify the length of the screw, dont forget tee nuts.

huge upgrade in forums!!!! Welcome aboard!
  23. that might be for the best as i would like to bolt everything down with the same size bolt, i have a saz-3000 and im not sure if the 5/16" bolts would fit that either, maybe just getting the 1/4-20's would be for the best. so i still would like to know the size of the washer. and would i need the washer with the 1/4-20's?
  24. and i should probly share my favorite bolts and nuts and well anythign else sites. lol MSC Flat Washers I use this place for anything i need next day. and i mean anything hardware related. Mcmaster Carr This place is just awesome. they have everything! and its easy to find. this is where im buying my hardware for this. they even have copper and aluminum bars for buss bars. I have more, but those two cover the Car audio spectrum of my life. Many more for my Tool design life. lol and I guess the most important thing I would need is what size O.D. washer would i need to not "rip up" the surround. Thanks again.
  25. it will be a socket head cap screw (allen head). i havent ordered anything yet and i can order w/e size i need and i know where to get custom washers i dont need to turn down. also why would the bolt tear up the surround? would deburring the bolt help? and what size o.d. washer would i need? thanks, Anton Miller
