  1. Yes, it is very annoying. I'll stick with Stone22 skin.
  2. I love the idea. It would give you equipment to test your amps against, too. What about an upgrade program, as well. I trade in my 125.2 for a 100.4 or something. You could refurb it, and warranty it, too. Mo money, mo money, mo money!

Well, I only want two amps total. You can see my current install here. Amp rack is double stacked. Ugh. So for trunk saving space, I want one sub and a smaller enclosure than what I already have. 400w is plenty of power for a IDQ12, but I'm sure it'll sound better with 600w. Actually, I'd rather only have one amp. But I don't know much about the 5 channels. How's the Helix Deep Blue? Or the Audison VRX6 Direct 2?

Well, in the next month or so I'm going to pick up a Image Dynamics IDQ 12". The real question is should I get a D2 and run it at 4 ohm with a 125.2 ... or... get a D4 and run it at 2 ohm, then pick up a 1200D. Hmmm... then I'd have to give away two practically new 125.2 amps! What a waste.

I am thinking of dropping my two 8W7's for one IDQ12. If it's a 2ohm sub, can I use one of my 125.2 to power it? How would it hold up (and how much power) bridged at 2 ohm?
  6. 6 ft and 260 lbs... and wear a large? I'm 5'11" at 200 lbs and am usually a L, sometimes a XL. Depends on the shirt. I'm hard to fit though.
  7. My shirt came in... thanks! But uh... they run just a little small. But that's the way the hot mamacitas like to see me.
  8. This needs to be added to the website. When I look at subs, I'm looking for its main intent. Volume or quality. Ideal enclosure type and size. And finally power. Also, how much do these weigh? I can't find weight specs on the site.
  9. The only reason it could have taken three days is if they weren't working on it. And that pisses me off most. I spoke with the owner to schedule the right day. He said, yup, he could get right on it. I assumed that meant that he had an installer who could get started on it. It's a major lack of respect for the time of others. Well, I asked for the box to be sealed with fiberglass. Although I did not see the inside, I am confident that they did it. My car smells like fiberglass, a lot! I would expect this to be a full one-day install with the box and amp rack. Everything else is easy. I had no problems at all with two days, but three was too much.
  10. The shop isn't worth mentioning. I told them I had all the equipment and cables. Hell, I even had the battery terminals, distribution block and USB extension cable. The install is a little sloppy. Amp is crooked, the cables are pulling on the center. When I took delivery of the car, the head unit was crooked, too. They fixed it today. I have a supercharged Mustang, so on the way home I got on it a little. When I got home I looked in the trunk and the speaker box slid to the back of the car. They didn't secure it down. I had to put velcro on the bottom of the box today. They also took my car out for a ride. I know because my front splitter (bottom of the front bumper) is scratched. They are a JL Audio and Alpine dealer, but not Image Dynamics or Sundown. They were pushing Diamond Audio comps/subs and JL amps.
  11. So after I was quoted two days to get get it done... and them taking three days... I finally got my car back. Only having the car a couple hours, so far these JL Audio 8W7's are fantastic! Very solid and far louder than I expected. From Kid Rock to Jay-Z, the subs great and clean. Very pleased! The best part is the Image Dynamics components. These get crazy loud and a simply amazing. Plenty of mid bass and the highs are crisp. I don't have enough time in the car with this system yet, but I'll work on adding different styles of music. Too early for a review. Here are the pics! Nevermind that one of the amps is crooked. I guess I should take it back to have it fixed, but I probably won't.
  12. Huh? You guys doing something nice on the forums?
  13. Money sent for a large.
  14. I dropped my car off today to have my two 8W7's installed. And I'm already thinking I should have went with the RL-i8. Just curious, what's your opinion of he 8W7 against the RL-i and your prototype?
