Ascendant Audio on the shop
NICE will we have the whole line? Including the smaller speakers if they ever do Poly's again?

Forum Suggestions
I like that idea. Although, if you have helpful people on SSA giving new users/guests valuable info, chances are they'll come back here. A clickable link seems a little impersonal to me. If they come here with one question and we answer it, they'll come back again, and again and again.

Which is best?
No, if you had an EQ per channel it would go HU > X-over > EQ's

Can someone PS me a new banner?
The one I have now is srsly outdated.. I haven't had Dynaudio in my car for like 2 years. I'll be running the Pioneer D3, Sundown 1000D, ICON 15", SEAS Nextel and who cares about the rest.

Thomas says hullo No more fuzzy terminals; thank you pepsi-cola We install Evan's D7 (evan helps :/ ) Evan's ghetto-rig goes bye-bye

What audio transactions do you regret?
I regret buying Boss gear back in 2003ish. Buying useless IMPP Pioneer subs because I didn't know better (which I still have). I regret my first box building attempt (don't ask). I regret thinking the kid who I bought my civic from had fused the power wire (shorted while driving... lots of smoke and melted carpet). I regret changing my mind on system choices sooooo often, because now I have a closet full of awesome gear, 3/4ths of which I will never use. I regret buying broken gear with the intention to fix. :/

None of us are affiliated, just hanging out. Edit: on another note.. Mark, do you have and SSA stickers you could bring? I need to rebadge my truck.

new system ideas need assitance
Why would you use either? Your system isn't very complicated to begin with... why add more bits and pieces that will only offer you slight returns?

The 14th ehy? I could go. Expect nothing better than stock right now though.

how do i wire this?
You could always use RCA splitters to obtain more outputs from the EQ to the amplifier as well. That would be the quick and easy way. I vote with Tom though. An external crossover is going to give you much more control than the Amp will.

whats up with
From what I could gather from ekkomediagroup.com, the site is still under development. Ekko is doing the design and layout work for them. The screens I saw looked good. So hopefully their site will be back and better then before.

whats up with
Probably some kind of internal server issue. What are you looking to achieve? Something we here at SSA can help you with?

I actually looked at the SAE-1000D for a sub amp as well. Especially since I'm all for supporting what vendors we have here. I'll PM denim shortly. Thanks for arraying the mids in quality order ///M5, looks like a go for the NX's

I think your thinking of the REFERENCE series RA10. That one looks nice. And it can go down to 1ohm Typical power in 4 ohm 300 W Typical power in 2 ohm 500 W Typical power in 1 ohm 780 W

I'm almost done deciding
So I've got a few more options for you guys to run through with me. I'm attempting to reuse a lot of my old system so I don't have to go through the ordeal of selling it all and rebuying most of it. So here's where I stand so far: 7" Mids one of the following choices: Seas W18EX-001 Seas W18NX-001 Peerless XG18WH00 Tweets I'll be re-using my Aurasound silk 1" tweets Amps I was going to go with DLS, but I have a Monitor 1 combo I want to try and use - Monitor 1 Mk4.70 for tweets and mids (with matching MX-1 crossover) - Need a sub amp (300w @ 4ohm minimum) Head Unit something with DVD playback capabilities. Since I'll be using an active crossover already, I don't really need something with advanced processing capabilities. Leaning more towards Eclipse. Subs - 2 CDT EF-8 mounted in .50cf sealed boxes in my suicide doors. 4ohm drivers @ 150w ea. And thats it. Any comments are welcome, even those that begin with "wtf? you've got to be kidding me"

hmmmm scary ride home for me....
How in the hell did you burn up a ground wire??? If your system was setup right, the thing to burn (which shouldn't have burned at all) would be the power cable. AND it should have had a fuse on it to prevent an open short like this one. You're lucky the car isn't one big black piece of metal.
