  1. Amps dont go bad sitting on a shelf..
  2. Why not call them and ask for yourself. None of us work for Audioque and cannot tell you what to do if you shred one.
  3. You should not put that large of an amp in if you cannot electrically support it due to money restrictions. Scale your system down.
  4. Unless you plan on running your front speakers active.... you don't need half the processing power the 980BT can give you.
  5. I believe the older ones are, but the current OPTI's are definitely not. Still the best amp in Lanzar's lineup though, and it'll beat out many other amps on the market as well.
  6. We're going to new forum software in a few days that should fix this. A couple of the mods to the current forum software are conflicting and causing the IPS errors.
  7. I'm assuming he didn't buy them directly from Mark, but from someone else used.
  8. Cross the MOFO's and that Prefabricated box off your list right now. Take the money you were going to spend on both of those items and give us a budget. The next thing to think about is how you're going to power that "2kW" amplifier. What electrical upgrades have you planned out?
  9. 500w is going to be hard get get "feeling" out of. You could seal it for now like sandsnip3r suggested, and then purchase a larger amplifier later on.
  10. The sub out puts are typically controlled differently than the main outputs. They'll also have a separate subwoofer crossover.
  11. 10" sub? 3" port should be sufficient.
  12. Plan for a bigger box than that... I remember reading reviews when they came out that they loved HUGE enclosures.
  13. I use Amadeus Pro to see the frequencies http://www.hairersoft.com/AmadeusPro/AmadeusPro.html
  14. now we know to keep that pole vent away from you....
  15. Again.. there's no way to know. Every situation and installation is different.
  16. I always get wood over the 10" model.
  17. He lives in Kuwait.
  18. 1080p capable simply means it will accept the signal, but then down convert it to 720p. Most 720p projectors already do this, 1080p is just a buzz word recently, so anything that is labeled with it is guaranteed to sell. Personally though, 720p is not out of date, but close. Buy 1080p.
  19. Here's some pics of it, and rough specs http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/MMATS_D300HC/
  20. Sounds like a plan, hopefully Sean will pop in eventually and recommend you a tweeter and midrange to go along with the E8.
  21. I wasn't aware that you could band-pass with the old one too
  22. Well, the new ones will, but he has an older 100.4 iirc.
  23. I just changed my old PG Tantrum 1200.1 (great amp by the way) for a JBL GTO 14001 and I gained about 3 dbs! I'm driving a JL 13W7. So I think It really does rated power. How did you measure the 3db gain? Audio Control RTA So about a 1.5dB gain in real life then.
