If you have the room to keep the back of the box 6"-8" away from the back hatch then port back. If the box has to be right up against the back hatch then port up. -

Man where are you at in LA? I"m sure we could meet up and I could help you with whatever troubles you have.
Both will sound just fine as long as the box is well designed and well built. The SPL level "should" be higher out of the 2 15"s since there is a difference in cone area. I would do the 2 15"s in a well built ported box, with the Sound Stream amp and you will be all set.
