  3. Guys I've got a problem here with a 21 inch Warden and a SAZ 3500 . No matter how we wire it , we keep getting a .7 ohm reading . Series or Parallel seems to make no difference . A lso my elephant sized son stripped one of the negative connections on the amp .... any body got fixes for this ? Any help is appreciated with either problem .
  4. Electrical wise I have 200amp alt with a big yellow top under the hood and a big battery in the back that is used to start back hoes and other big equipment. The big battery is a beast. And I can clamp eveything once its up and running everything will be set with the local shops oscope. I forgot to say that eventually I plan on getting another 3500 and strapping them.
  5. I recently purchased a 21" Warden and a Saz 3500. The vehicle it will be going in is a 97 Blazer. The box my dad drew up last night was 8.5 cubes after port displacement. With 120 sqaure inches of port. It will be ran at two ohms for daily and .5 for when I am at a show. I compete in meca. My dad is going to build my box. I am posting this here because I would like your honest opinions good or bad criticism and if you would like to help that's great we will try anything. I currently have the amp and I will be picking the sub up saturday.
  6. Home Depot carries SPAX brand screws that are designed to be used with MDF . They have worked well for me , no splitting and they countersink themselves . They are a little pricey though around $10.00 per box . Maybe they'll work for you as well , good luck .
  7. 144.9 hopefully it will be better with what we have done and that sucks but homecoming is important

I have a SAE 1200d and i'm wondering if it is strappable ? If it is , would it require anything other than another amp ? Also what would the power rating be at 4 ohms ? Thanks in advance for any help .
  14. Thank you for the welcome and compliments guys . As to the score we are limited to 80 amps of fusing and we are trying to do at least 1 run of 1/0 power for now to see if it helps us out .
  15. Thank you , sir . Its good to finally post something after all this time .
  16. We've been lurking for a couple of years now , and since my son has some questions , i guess we should introduce ourselves . I'm Clay 47 yrs. old and my son is Josh 23 yrs.old . We are competing in MECA AS2 this year . We have a 1997 4 door Blazer with a MOJO 15 D2 being pushed by a Sundown SAE1200D . So far the big 3 is done in 1/0 , 2 batteries and pretty much stock from there . Highest score so far has been 144.9 on music , engine off per class rules . We would like to say thanks in advance for any help we ask for and thanks for a great site as well .
  17. Class is Amateur Street 2 . Sorry for any confusion , mispelling or poor grammer , my son posted most of this at work from his cellphone . Escarado is actually two people .
  18. I know on precision ports websites they say an averaged of 3 db better if used right I just wonder what do they mean used right. I understand how cut the holes for the ports but how do you seal them off with silicon or justtapIrI see alot of tape being used I just wonder if I am allowed to use to tape in my class or not???
  19. Well i am tuned at 40 now becuase this is a box memphis gave us to build. I am just wondering what are the advantages of such a small SPL box with aero ports
  20. Hey guys I am in meca and I am hitting a 144.9 on music with the car off because I am in AS2. I was told at the lastest show the Vinny if I were to make a so called fart box box size of 3.5 cubic feet with like two 6 in aero ports and tuning at like 50 hertz my current setup is 5 cubic ft after displacment and tuned at 40 htz I beleive. What I am wanting to know will this so called fart box get me any louder and see the bad thing is we don't have anyone with a termlab around me to test it. My set is a up memphis mojo 15d2 and I have a sundown 1200.1 with four guage and soon to be hopefully two runs of 0guage. Any help with this guys would mean alot to me and my dad. Also if you need anymore information just ask and I will tell you everything I can and the vehicle is a chevy blazer 4 door.
