Don't listen to this guy. The hifonics puts out that 2kw at 1 ohm,same as the audioque. You need a amp that delivers 1500w at 2 ohms. The kicker is a great amp except for the subsonic. The audiopipe 3000 is too much you'll smoke the subs.

Lowest RMS on the woofers is about 0 watts. There is no lowest RMS.

I don't want to bash the other forum, but D4S isn't a site where you would get good information about car audio.(or decent information.)

You guys always come up with a innovative design and make me go wow. Al of u're designs are new, state-of the art(?), i really like fi audio.

And to add to that, you got to first (rough) sand the edge that u are going to glue together. (just pass over it a few times with 60 grit ) And if u have glue that is more liquid is better, because it goes thru the mdf layers.

First clamp and then put screws in? Can i ask u why you would do that? Because if u have the possibility to clamp you don't need to screw, because the screws don't really help holding the box together it's the glue.

Everything's maxed. bassboost is set to 0...gain is set to unity with the saz100.4 running my CDT's active. I've had the system for awhile (3 years)...and I don't run it super loud... I noticed wear on the spider and felt pads...from both sets of leads... RED: and u actually want help? Gain is propably not set correctly or the HU is clipping. Setting gains by ear is a really hard thing to do, and thinking that setting the gains (about) the same on 2 different amps means it is set correct? Even if u had 2 same amps it would be that one amp is clipping and the other one isn't. (learn more about clipping instead of calling people noob when they are trying to help.)

How are the gains and bassboost set?

Explain SPL tiles??? Just thicker than normal tiles. No use in SPL in fact, that was something Anthony thought of. Those tiles were really stiff, waay much stiffer then damplifier pro.

Aren't SPL tiles from SS better for the application then damplifier, because it's much stonger.

Maybe the amps get rattled so hard the Gain get's turned down?

I would do atleast 3 6 inch areoports and figure out the resonant freqeuncy of you're vehicle. And tune about 10 hz lower and test. Then cut it down to make the tuning higher and test again. Over and over again untill u don't notice any gains anymore.

You do know u need more wood for 4 different enclosure's and it consumes more room, and in most cases it's not as loud.

Can u show me a article that proves that NOT A SINGLE human can hear below 20hz?

I can hear 17hz, and it's not just the mechanical sound of the woofer i hear. You just can't compare the sound to anything, maybe the sound of a whale but i never heared one before. Although i can only hear up to 17-17.5khz...

It is humanly IMPOSSIBLE to HEAR ANYTHING below 20Hz................. Euhm, no it's not. ( i hope ur'e comment was sarcasm )

Sorry, but i'm not looking at a 12 inch sub with a (conservative) 600W RMS rating. (but if i or some friends need it i will certainly remember it. ) EDIT: by the way i live in Belgium.

DO you know when to stop turning up the gain? Because i wouldn't want to see those subs go up in smoke.
