Did you ever notice this sound with the Icon? Do you have another sub to try out on both amps? Also try turning down your lpf, 80hz on a 12db will not stop frequencies above 80hz from getting to your sub, it only attenuates them.

The tweeter is only rated at 80 watts and wont even need that much power really.

This seems to be the issue. I believe this hit it right on the nose and I thank you for your input. I would also like to thank everyone who actually gave me suggestions on how to approach this problem. Today, I placed my subwoofer inside another enclosure that belongs to a local member, swift. And all seems fine, the subwoofer showed no signs of stress and sounded great. So the conclusion to this is that, in MY application, I could NOT use a larger enclosure. Swift will begin building my next enclosure soon. Good find, I learned something new today myself about enclosures. Glad you got it worked out.

Yeah I would wear it or otherwise I would of kept my million dollars I hated having a $400 dollar amp just sitting around my house, Id rather have it installed then sitting around for anything to happen to it. Just my .02
