  1. It certainly looks like something is amiss. Fail
  2. 2k amp isnt massive. :ughdunno:What good is is it cant see or hear anything. He isnt saying the amp is massive, thats the name brand of the amplifier. What a waste of forum space OP
  3. Its not gonna work dude, just try it the way it should be from start instead of waiting time on building boxes. You cant create new laws of science, cancellation is gonna happen unless both subs and port are firing through the rear deck (simple as that). Now you can cut a hole in your rear deck like edouble101 stated above to allow more pressure in the cabin, thats what I would do now and see where that gets you till you make a better design. I dont understand why you ask us for our input on a design then when everybody is telling you otherwise you still want to do it your way. Personally since your seats dont fold down I would recone my 18" to a 15'' subwoofer, throw the sub in a 4th order bandpass enclosure that is ported through the rear deck.
  4. Haha its funny you say that because it was on that option for like 30 minutes until I noticed it had more video modes
  5. Haha right? Have you been drinking Jon? I certainly have! no im working.. i just have a wicked memory .. almost 9 months ago he asked how to break into a honda civic.. i was going to tell him .. but then asked why... turns out his chick has a civic and does not want him monkeyin around with wires inside of it.. so she hides her keys every time she goes to see him... he thought it would be cute to break into it and install a stereo with out her knowing... so when this topic comes up and the install vehicle is a honda civic it does not escape me that its hers. The same thing I think about everytime he posts about a system for the civic, shits hilarious.
  6. Would it be safe to assume we could expect the same ETA for the 50.4 proto? Why not ask this in the thread that is about the new amps?
  7. I like it, nice progress. I would be weary of representing your audio with a sticker since you already got jacked once, to me that is just advertising for thieves.
  8. If your using there server (service) then whatever rules they set in place you have to follow, read your internet service provider agreement and you will be surprised what you see. I mean c'mon think about it, yeah in America we have freedom but its at a cost and we are watched everywhere we go. Our phones, our cars since people want all the latest gadgets (Bluetooth, GPS) are controlled and monitored. They know where your car is and or where your phone is so why dont you think they are searching your computer. I could care less if they are looking at whats on my computer, Id rather have more freedom in my car and on my phone. Home Owners association is the same thing, they can tell you what to do and how to do it with YOUR house but you are in their community. Moral of the story is just because its YOURS doesnt mean jack shit nowadays.
  9. x2 and it makes your factory electrical very happy x3, no more car audio wire for just welding cable from here on out.
  10. They are not out of the standard 1/0 and 2/0 wiring, they are out of the 1/0 and 2/0 ultra-flex welding cable.
  11. x2, I love mine and its been treating me well for a while now
  12. What subwoofer needs to be reconed? Ther are some topics on this forum explaining the process and videos on youtube that could help you as long as you have the correct tools for the process.
  13. Just curious to how the pressure is getting into the cabin with trunk opening blocker off, is your rear deck cut/open to allow pressure through? Build looks nice and I like the design especially the port section.
  14. Sorry to hear that unfortunate news and hope he gets through these issues. I understand reality hits hard and you have to deal with it. If the issues are more important than getting those paid enclosures out, shouldnt he just simply give everybody a refund and save the headache. If he can communicate with you, why not his customers? A simple im dealing with some things, give me some time or something would at least ease their minds.
  15. If I did I would be willing to lend a hand
  16. Id probably go port/sub up or sub forward and port firing to the side loading off the wall of the truck. If your wanting to know the best one then building different boxes and testing is the only way to find out, nobody on here can really tell you what would work best or be the loudest.
  17. I would think that with quite a bit more power (more then 2000) the btl would shine i disagree .. 2000 watts is just fine for a BTL x2 What makes you think a BTL needs more than 2000 watts to "Shine" (whatever that means)? I hope not youtube videos.
  18. time to relax now and enjoy the tunes. Cant wait to hear your thoughts from your previous setup to these Xcons.
  19. im excited for you
  20. You plan on keeping the carpet out permanently? Im so jealous of your trunk area
  21. The issue with the orphan 8 will be impedance... Single 6 ohm coil... It is one hell of a sub and built by an American company.. I would kill to have some cash free up and try to get my hands on 6 of them. I forgot all about the impedence thing, nice catch. OP what amplifier are you using for this setup?
  22. I would get in touch with Mike at Soundsplinter and see if he has anymore Orphan 8's, check them out here in this thread:
