  1. There is no such thing as underpowering subwoofers.
  2. Using youtube videos to pick a driver is not a good choice, but to each its own.
  3. I wouldnt say they share a similar shape but yeah I have seen and heard a few loud camaro's.
  4. im not arguing..... im telling u from my point of view i guess u could say. from my past experiences... thats all So do you think your the only one with install experience, instead of listening with your ears you rather listen with your mouth. Its cool though, you already know more than me apparently. Just cause you have experience doesnt mean its a good experience or that you learned what you were supposed to.
  5. So you ask for advice and when it is provided you argue with it. Well good luck in trying to find out what your gonna do.
  6. x2, some great advice
  7. +1 unless you royally eff something up. idk. this hcca is louder than the 2 15" kicker l7's i had befor. its alot louder than u think.... lol So you say you want 2-15"s cause your 12" isnt louder than them but now you say it is louder than 2-15"s. Honestly you need to rebuild that box and give yourself some more port area before buying more equipment. If the HCCA doesnt cut it after the new box, then upgrade your equipment. no i think my 1 12 is louder, but it doesnt have the deep low pounding that 2 15's do. The size of the sub has nothing to do with the sound, the box does.

  9. What size enclosure and what is tuned at? Build looks nice, I love carputer setups
  10. Dual 1/0 isnt even needed for 3500 watts, marketing gimmick. Like stated above, wattage does not come cheap.
  11. If you have to ask then probably no, amp wattage is not cheap. People gotta understand this
  12. If you have no time to try to make a decent post, then I have no time to give you input. then dont give an input bro lol idk why u seem to have to be one of those dickheads on a fourm im asking for peoples opinions if u dont like it u dont have to post no offense Read rule number 5, thanks since you agreed to them when you sign up.
  13. Make sure you hooked it up to the correct remote start wire, dont use the one you are using cause obviously it is a constant power source.
  14. keep up the creative work
  15. Just looking at subs or fuses wont help determine if they are the cause or not without a DMM.
  16. What led you to believe subs are fine, did you check them with a DMM? What all trouble shooting things have you done.
  17. No need to make multiple threads about the same things. Clipping protection was explained to you previously in your other thread, you need to rethink what your looking for and what you want. Components dont need a lot of power especially sq components. Clipping protection wont do you any good if your gonna overpower them and you dont know signs of distortion.
  18. Your amp still sees some type of air flow. More fans will be the answer first before anything drastic can be done. I agree with you on amps, I had problems with cheaper amps and overheating. But I wouldnt suggest to go buy a brand new amp without trying all options first with his current amplifier. What all have you done to the trunk interior wise to help aid in cooling, I dont know how good some of these thermal barriers are but that could be an option as well. I would also try bigger fans such as these instead of those 1" computer fans: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_m318_i439_stinger-cooling-fans.html
  19. Good deal Mechman nice to see some discounts, sucks for me since yall dont make an ho alternator for my car cause I would be all over this.
  20. In your case your amp is not in a closed off area like a trunk car so your amp gets air flow
  21. I doubt the heat wave is that big of a deal (I know its a contributing factor), its usually hot like this for the southern part of the region this time of year. Regardless of heat wave he would still be having this problem.
  22. A wire came loose causing mayhem, the rest is history.
  23. Just having one fan is not gonna help, your gonna need 2 fans so you can have one pushing air as the other pulls air.
  24. I heard similar things as well but mostly pertaining to the Mille line-up, this year's Mille is actually worth the price tag it is sold at compare to the previous Mille line-up.
