How does the Q sound man? Im contemplating getting 2-12"s or 3-10"s myself, cant wait to see the new box get built.

If you ordered the Universal option on the subwoofer then yes you can change the impedence on your voice coils when you get them reconed, if not then no way. As for the magnet, it is just a simple upgrade. They found a way to make the same amount of motor force and some with a one stack ufo style magnet thats all. The sub itself went for a little upgrade as well and I think I remember Nick saying you can use the old with the new. If thats the case and you can recone your subwoofer to another impedence then sell it and buy two new Q's. Hope this helps

Yeah Im not a fan of the chrome accents, that over does it and no dropping the truck (I dont like doing cutting to make a rim fit and perform properly).

I've had a few as well and never a bad one. I got a good deal on mine so I'm happy. (sorry i -1 this. i accidentally clicked it while on this stupid laptop) Fixed Yeah I had great success with the ones I used and the bad one that I did have was all my fault. I will be trying XS Power batteries for my future builds.

Amps are like anything else in the world that is sold, there are cheap versions and then there are more expensive versions. It comes down to how you want to spend your money and personal preference. Your saying your trying to justify spending $140 but your complaining about 4 gauge inputs, that should show you were your $140 is going when purchasing that SoundStream vs. the Sundown. Not saying you wont get power, but will you get longevity and so on.

If you only got one set of 2 channel rca's already then just go buy you some y-splitters (1 female to 2 males), this will be the cheapest route. Turn your gain down on the amp some as well, headroom can be your friend but your enemy if used wrong. Yeah I knew those 5x7''s wouldnt be heard over the Bravox.

someone on SSA used a clay compound behind the speakers before, that kind of trick should insulate the back of your tweeters and mids as well... Obviously need to put a "shield or median" between the speaker and clay... Someone help me explain this:? Actually that was to help with the sound, explained in Impious's Buildlog. OP is the water getting in between your door frame and door panel or does water get on the grill of the tweeter with the window down. If it gets on the grill then it is really nothing you can do besides change the mounting location.

Most people on here will steer you towards Sundown, if you have 400 then pay for the Sundown. If it is out of your budget now then get the SoundStream, you want hear the difference between 2200watts and 2000watts. Find what amp fits your budget, fits your power needs and your application goals. This vs. that threads are useless, if you want a Sundown then buy it and if not then go another route.

You ask a question then say you dont want to do it cause you never heard it and so on. Either buy another woofer and wall it or just build another box for your current sub and upgade the power if need be. You never gave any goals or any information on why your thinking this. If you want louder than another sub and more power with a wall should do the trick, is this for competitions or daily?

Really all install dependent to be honest with you, either setup will get the job done and more. Now if your talking BL's with 4" coils and good amount of power then they could have the slight edge. Really the only way to tell is buy both and meter if you want to know what will be louder.

Ive had my fair share of cars in the shop, sucks but you will be riding clean soon.
