  1. My fault typing to fast: I had a friend who used his remote bass knob on his amp and the one on his crossover to control the volume to the subwoofer.
  2. I have seen people use a remote bass knob that was hookep to their amp and one that was hooked up to the sub to control the subs volume. I dont use a knob period, let alone bass boost. I hope your control is for a gain and not bass boost. Bass boost and remote bass knobs can be used if you desire just keep your eyes, noise and ears out for distortion or any other bad you can do to the subwoofer. If your confident in your control of the knob and your amp is set correctly to use the knob then it shouldnt damage anything.
  3. Great information man and the last paragraph/analogy was killer, keep up the good work man.
  4. If it is legit then it is a deal of the century, you can call them and ask them if your unsure or skeptical on anything. I would buy it only if you need it, even if its a deal would you ever use all that wire? If so then go for it in my eyes.
  5. im excited and I have no highs playing in my car right now since this amp will be powering them. Will we get tracking numbers or are they just gonna show up?
  6. Enough with the sensitive stuff, show me some pictures and oh yeah your subs are gonna want
  7. x2 or your amps are set correctly causing them to turn the excess power that its trying to make into heat. How are your amps set, whats the pre-out voltage of your headunit, how high are your gain settings? My amps are already hot when I get in the car and get pretty hot depending how hard im pushing them and how long, just like any electronic piece of equipment after use its temperature will rise subtantially and if the air around it is not cool then it will just add to it. If worried about change listening habits or turn the gains down some. Even though I know you guys barely have winters but wait till the temperature cools and if you keep your setting exactly the same your amps will be way cooler.
  8. That will definitely be fresh, I like the idea bro
  9. You can use the amp just keep the gains down and buy a voltmeter to watch the voltage on your amp, nobody says you have to use every watt on that amp when you hook it up.
  10. Hey there are two sides to every storing and your not fully telling yours either OP, so we cant just go off what you say. Hopefully it will get resolved real soon and either party will man up and except responsibility.
  11. What kind of car do you have? Redo your headunit grounding and any other grounding you did, just because it may look like a good ground it may not be? Did you get a new headunit with a higher pre-out voltage, if so turn your amp gain down some? Any whining 9 times out of 10 is a grounding problem if you ruled out amps, speaker, wiring and headunit itself?
  12. Im mad I missed the updated picture with the vinyl, hey . Looks like your gonna be loud and sound good doing it, I cant wait till you get it installed and give your feed back.
  13. Any word when these will ship out?
  14. Unwire the subs from the amp and turn it on, amp may be the problem? Do you have another amp to use to test on the subs and same exact wire?
  15. Yeah I know a lot of them but considering the amount of information you gave I dont think there is one that fits your needs. Give us a budget, features you want, etc. if you want some suggestions.
  16. You could do it a few ways, its up to you. Usually I do one remote wire to each amp but soon I will try using a relay and just hooking my remote up through that.
  17. Nope because I have the Crescendo's
