  1. If you dont compete and not worried about the meter then go with a 15", so you can give it the recommended enclosure and still have space to spare. If your worried about output then came the 18" and loose on the space, its a toss up but not that big of a deal. This loosing and gaining mpg's thing is far fetched, stop worrying about the little bit of cone area and db's you think you may loose or gain (you wont hear or really see it, will come down to the install). Its an easy compromise, just have to make a choice.
  2. Thats not Chocolate Milk, more like Biege Milk
  3. Bad-Ass car and a good list of equipment, should be a great install. You just gave me a couple ideas, good luck with your build.
  4. Hey Jacob, what is the word on this amp since I need a 4 channel amp for the future and would like to keep it all Sundown?
  5. I highly doubt you will be able to throw 2-15" BTL's in there respected enclosures in that trunk.

You gotta a good amp considering you need the power at 2 ohms, dont forget pictures of the install.
  7. I wouldnt take the bet cause it is not that serious, if he is too scared to beat on some BTL's then he shouldnt of gotten them in the first place. If he wants to baby them then it is on him, which will take the suspension longer to unstiffen. So what is he gonna do baby them for how long (ask him that and see what he says)? If he is your friend then he would believe you and that would be the end of the subject, I would just let him do it how he wants and just laught at him cause I know they could be beating and moving way more than that.
  8. Even if my system isnt running Im down, will bring my cousin with me more than likely. Count me in unless unforseen circumstances hold me back.
  9. With 1300 watts are going to run 2 of either choices, need more information to help you? Both are great subs and will perform well.
  10. not the tv, some intense flex going on in this video
  11. Looking good so far
  12. Nice looking box and amplifier, you should be beating now (yeah the CVR's are great but the CVX's are better). Any videos of it in action? Why dont you like the box?
  13. I have had this problem some way one of your power wires on your wiring harness are shot, so you will need to wire both your red and yellow wire from headunit to either the read wire or yellow wire on wiring harness to see which one works. More than likely the Ignition wire is shot so it wont come on with the ignition, if that is the case you can just run a wire to fuse panel inside the car and find the fuse for turn-on/ignition (wrap that wire around one of the prongs on the fuse and plug it in. Thats how I did mine and has been fine for over year, I threw a perfectly good radio away thinking it was the radio and was an issue with my factory wiring. Hope its not that serious but if any more question just ask.
  14. I just read my manual and never noticed it but your right it is an error, the rest of them are right. Go + on sub to + terminal on amp and - on sub to - terminal on amp. Good find
  15. He doesnt want 2 gauge he wants 2/0 AWG, thats 1/0 AWG doubled bassically which is more than 1/0 AWG (2 gauge is smaller than 1/0AWG).
  16. starting off good, keep working
  17. Oh ok, well keep us posted with an update when you get there.
  18. With a good electrical system backing it up I dont see why not.
  19. x2, with that much power you minus well run 4 BTL's.
  20. Yeah that is not a problem at all, as long as it is attached to the engine block somewhere you are good to go.
  21. Check your connections and wiring. What are your settings on the amp (take a picture if you can) and headunit?
  22. Go out and measure how far it is from your battery to the closest spot you can ground it on the car's frame and let me know how much wire you need (I have some 1/0 AWG scraps Ill send you, the longest I have is about a ft long if that helps).
  23. Looks real good , the only suggestions I have is to add a 1/0 awg wire from your optima yellowtop's negative terminal to your car's chassis and you may want to seal off the trunk from the cabin. Have you done the Big 3? THE BIG 3 - SSA Car Audio Forum - Page 7
  24. good list of equipment you have there. Any pictures of your install?
  25. Well hopefully by then I will have some upgrades but thats what up, Im definitely gonna try the June meet if Im available.
