Looks like you sprayed foam in all the gaps of the floor, did you spray a lot or what (I need to do my floors), it didnt make the metal expand up also did it? Thanks since the foam can be a cheap fix until I purchase my foam and foam to lay on floor. Did you put any foam on the floor between the mlv and dampener, just curious since I didnt see any pictures of it layed down unless you skipped pictures on it?

Dont get us wrong can you throw a bigger amp than what it is recommended at a sub yes but you will have to worry about: mechanical issues, thermal issues, gain settings, use and control of the volume knob wisely, is the box designed to let the sub handle insane amount of watts*, your listening habits, your goals. It is nothing wrong with having some headroom on your amplifier since music is dynamic and it will help avoid clipping (pushing the amp past its limits) if used properly.

x2, you got way to much going on and wood is really cheap so starting over wont be a pain in the ass.

x2, if you want to get something to throw a 1000 rms at then get a sub that is recommended to handle a 1000 rms at the least. People nowadays give horrible advice since they dont share any other information with you on why it was able too or could be able to handle 1000rms. Does it need it no, could it probably handle it (yeah under certain conditions) but it depends on a lot of factors.

That makes no since if his voltage is dropping that low, even at idle I would never drop that low. Maybe this video was with the car off.

I seen 12.7volts in the video and if it is off that amp than I hate to see a higher powered amp in that setup, what does your electrical consist of?

More information would be my idea. What car, equipment, batteries being used, alternator being used? Did you call the people who gave you the alternator so they could troubleshoot you through anything if need be? That is what I would of did first.

I see you covered the floor of your car with dampener also, did that do anything to help with road noise. I was thinking of doing my floor with a cell foam and then a layer of mass vinyl on top and no dampener. Curious as if the dampener is needed also?

Havent heard either one of them but both are outstanding drivers, I personally think it will come down to a coin toss (best out of three).
