Sundowns were having problems with some expensive brands so Jacob recommends some cheap ones, I was using some from Autozone with no problems and then upgraded them to KnuKonceptz Klarity with no problems.

If the amp is what you need now then go for the amp if it fits your application and goals since it is for a good price. If deadening is a main concern then go that route, Im waiting till it gets warmer to purchase my deadener so it will be easier to apply. Its gonna come down to a compromise or coin toss.

There are two ways I would do it, first I would install it in the main battery location if it can fit and then monitor your voltage. If your voltage is fine during full tilt then you wont have to worry about two batteries. If your voltage drops then put the stock battery back in and run the Shuriken in parallel, positive of starting battery to positive on shuriken battery, negative of shuriken battery to cars frame. An isolator is not needed unless your playing with your system with the car off a lot.

If you came in with the some more money then go with the DP since it will be louder and outperform the DR on the same amount of watts plus you have enough power for it. Just my .02

Glad you got it installed and the voltage is sitting high for the Shuriken Batteries, I knew they would hold up. Glad I could be of assistance, I rather someone else have some bump since I cant have none but Im soon.

x2. Ours will finally be paid off this spring, after about 10 years of trying to get it paid off. Never again. Like everyone already said, save and then buy. No it doesnt work like that, full range means it will play full range. Set your amp to Low Pass Filter at 5,000Hz and your subsonic filter to 100Hz, this way they will play anything from 5,000hz down to 100hz.

An amp has nothing to do with hitting the lows, the box will determine that.

Whichever one fits your budget and fits your goals, it will come down to flipping a coin but both will work well. Sometimes you gotta make these decisions on your own we cant walk you through it. Both will handle the amp and will work well. Also if your that torn between the two then get in contact with the company and share your goals and ask them for there input since they built and played with both subs.
